Kataphron destroyers seem pretty OP.

150 pts for a troop, 6 toughness 5 wounds with 18 grav shots and either 3 torrent flamers or phosphor. Spamming at LEAST 4 units of these seems OP.

I thought they were T5 with a 4+ armor save?

They are with a feel nothing pain though.

Have them chill in ruins and most things won't instant kill them with T5 so they'll have their feel no pain. And a unit of 3 with grav and phosphor is only 150 pts.

They are, the sentenence makes it hard to read but he meant:

6 wounds at Toughness 5

Please rename the thread to something useful. Like "Last week everyone talked about the fact that Kataphron are very very strong, now I want in too."

Or you know. Anything that is descriptive of the thread.

but yes, Kataphron are clearly the stand-out unit of the Cult Mechanicus codex. It also allows, say a Skitarii player like myself, to bring in an engineer to rule over my Skitarii without having to pay a real tax, since fitting 6 kataphron into my army isn't exactly gonna strain my imagination.

Any other thoughts?

Either way, having not seen their rules or stats I'll just say this:

If I'm paying $70 Cdn for 3 miniatures, 60mm base or no, they'd better be good!

Its a DMB thread. he didnt miss anything.

They are fantastic troops. but the army has no real transports you should be able to out maneuver them. also IIRC they have no psyker protection and are not fearless.

They would get fethed up against daemons.

of course you can plug up those weaknesses with there battle brother best friends forever.

OP has a colourful history here of having locked threads and otherwise troll-like behaviour.
