I'm sure this has been asked before, I know I can't be the only one frustrated by how spread out GW has made their rules. But has anyone compiled a complete repository of where all the rules can be found? I've tried searching around, but google is so retail driven it's hard to find information when something is also sold.

I'm not asking for copyright infringement, but a location that directs people to the proper books or magazine issues.

You would think GW would have done this themselves.

Isn't it illegal to post rules?

Yeah, and that's not what I'm asking for. I'm looking for a list or tool that directs me to where I can find rules in official materials.

So you are asking for a tool to help you get illegal copies of things?

Or are you looking for a list of Current edition information like Imperial Armor or Supplements and stuff like that?

If you're looking for rules on a specific unit, you might want to hit up Lexicanum and look at the list of sources at the end of each article.

It is best to be a pessimist. You are usually right and, when you're wrong, you're pleasantly surprised.

ArbiterIan also has a rules index in the article section but I cannot find it. Search in there.

Sounds to me like he's just asking for an index listing which rules are in which publications.

You will be looking at rule books, The Big Rule Book, codices, supplements, Shield of Ball campaign, the other campaign which the name eludes me with Space Wolves and Orks. Stronghold Assault (don't know why I am thinking this, I forget what it is) and a bunch of White Dwarf issues that has various units and rules in them as well.

I asked what WD issues had rules in them but nobody really answered me so I can't help you there either since I am at a loss for that.

I guess you can always call GW customer support the 1 800 number or email them and ask them for a complete list.

Agies Grimm:The "Learn to play, bro" mentality is mostly just a way for someone to try to shame you by implying that their metaphorical nerd-wiener is bigger than yours. Which, ironically, I think nerds do even more vehemently than jocks.

Everything is made up and the points don't matter. 40K or Who's Line is it Anyway?

GW+FW have created an enormous library with rules dotted out over several books with no real information on where to find what.

I don't see why people would keep thinking OP wanted illegal copies. Is it really that hard to see that the location of rules is a a complete mess?
