Here are two lists I'm considering for an upcoming tourney:

List #1
-Chewie (Predator, C-3PO, Falcon Title, Engine Upgrade) - 53 points
-Leebo (Determination, Heavy Laser Cannon, Outrider Title) - 47 points

OR

List #2
-Chewie (Push the Limit, Falcon Title, Engine Upgrade) - 50 Points
-Leebo (Determination, Heavy Laser Cannon, Recon Specialist, Outrider Title) - 50 points

Both lists have a decent mix of offence, defence and maneuverability. I'm leaning towards list #2 because both ships have some form of shot quality enhancer (focus + target lock for chewie and double focus for Leebo). Also, both ships at 50 points is ideal for a tourney. However, is losing 3-PO off the Falcon worth it? I really don't want to ditch engine off of the Falcon at all. Also, I'm concerned about Chewie's ability to shed stress and really use PTL (those hard turns on the Falcon are really nice to have).

Any advice would be appreciated.

I am still pretty green when it comes to X-Wing, yet I would think about getting Dash for the YT 2400 (Crew). You will already have to maneuver 2 large ships and would make it a lot easier for you if you did not additionally had to watch firing lines being blocked by asteroids with one ship. Maybe drop the Recon Specialist for it.

You can get a lot of mileage out of having 2 focus tokens...

Perhaps not technically a Marine Chapter anymore, but the Flame Falcons would be pretty creepy to fight.

"Boss, we waz out lookin' for grub when some of them Spice Marines showed up and shot all the lads."

"Right. Well, did you at least use the burnas?"

"We tried, but the gits was already on fire."

"...Kunnin'."

Hmmm.. I have had good success with the Dash crew card in the past but dropping recon specialist doesn't really help much for Leebo. With only two ships and so few red dice each ship really needs some means of enhancing attack and defence dice. For Leebo, it's having those 2 focus tokens.

I ended up topping a local tourney with this list last weekend. It proved to be really strong given the field of lists that showed up. Here are the other lists:

-Rexlar (Heavy Laser, Predator, Shield Upgrade), Colonel Vessery (Heavy Laser Cannon, VI, Shield Upgrade)
-Soontir (Push, Royal Guard, Targetting Computer, Autothrusters), 2x Sigma Squadron (Stygium, Recon Spec, Advanced Sensors)
-Leebo (Outrider Title, Mangler Cannon, Jan Ors, Push the Limit), Chewie (Lando, 3PO, Push, Falcon Title)
-N'dru (Deadman Switch, Proton Rockets), Kath (Marksmanship, Saboteur), Kavil (VI, R4 Aggromech, Shield Upgrade, Blaster Turret)
-Wedge Antilles, Keyan Farlander (FCS, 2x Proton Torps, Heavy Laser), Tala Squad Pilot, Bandit Squad
-Echo (VI, ACD), Kath (Ruthlessness), 2x Academy Pilot
-Corran (VI, Engine Upgrade, FCS, R2-D2), Han (Falcon Title, Recon Spec, Chewie)
-Han (Nien Numb, 3PO, Falcon Title, Engine Upgrade, Push), Wedge (Shield Upgrade, Outmanouver, R2-D2)
-Chewie (Push, Falcon Title, Gunner), Leebo (Determination, Mangler Cannon, Outrider Title, Jan Ors)
-Soontir (Push, Royal Guard, Stealth Device, Autothrusters), Rear Admiral Chiraneau (Engine Upgrade, Gunner, Predator, Vader, Yssane Isard)
-IG-88B (VI, Advanced Sensors, Mangler Cannon, Autothrusters), IG-88C (VI, Advanced Sensors, Heavy Laser, Autoblaster, Autothrusters)
-Serrisu (VI, Heavy Title, Autoblaster), Laetin (Stealth Device, Heavy Title, Heavy Laser), Mando Merc (Lone Wolf, Seismic Charge)
-One more list but not sure what it was.

Round 1 vs the Echo + Kath + 2 Academy's list. I popped a tie early with both my ships shooting at range 3. Then my opponent got really aggressive with his phantom and pushed him into range 1 on chewie early (which stripped 4 shields). I missed with both my attacks on him though. After that he got boxed in and he ended up rocking Echo and both my ships gunned him down. Then I focused down his firespray. In the end his lone tie was facing my two ships and the only damage he had casued was the 4 shields off chewie.

Round 2 was a mirror match vs the Leebo + Chewie build featuring the Lando crew. We both concentrated on one another's Leebo but I was able to inflict more damage and drop his Leebo first. This was largely due to my falcon being able to get two actions each turn with ptl (focus + TL) while his Lando's ability failed to keep up (one turn doing nothing). We both lost our Leebo's but my full health Chewie beat out his half dead one in the end.

Round 3 vs the Serrisu scum list. This was my toughest match. I deployed and flew badly at first - flying right into the teeth of all his ships at close range. In addition my dice were initially cold. After the intial pass Leebo was down to only a few hull left and I hadn't inflicted any damage. The rest of the match would be dominated by me trying to have Leebo survive each round. Fortunately, Leebo was able to shuck off three crits with his pilot ability and the determination synergy. Then with all three of his ships trailing Leebo I performed a 1 turn then barrel rolled back towards my pursuers which caused his two syk's to bump into me and me his firespray to have no shot. This proved to be the clutch turn and allowed Leebo to get another 4 red dice into his firespray, while Chewie cleared out the hlc syk. In the end Leebo inflicted enough damage before he died to enable my relateively untouched Chewie free to kill off his half dead firespray and Serrisu.

Round 4 vs chubby Han + Corran Horn. My opponent surged in quick with Horn for a range 1 double tap early on my Chewie dropping 3 shields. However, before he could perfrom his end of turn double shot both my ships gunned him down (with some impressive hits including the direct hit crit to finish him off). After that it was a simple matter of flying conservatively and focus firing his Han till he went down.

Great day overall.
