I had a thread in 40k general discussion around 40k issues and "dislikes".
It was there 30 mins ago but seems to be gone?

And just to be clear, Im not a buddy of DMB. I just felt a general discussion might help?

Can a Mod advise on this? Im more than open to moderation but a simple thread lock or PM to say its a duplicate would help rather than a full deletion?

Im just more confused. Duplicates, spam, nonsense, trolling get a lock/PM warning. But - I thought it was a legit thread.

I've seen the mods do a clean delete before, but its pretty rare.

This could happen for a number of reasons; for example, if the moderator simply has not had a chance to PM you yet. Generally, it is not a good idea to re-start a thread right after a moderator has locked the original one. It should go without saying, but this is pretty blatantly disregarding moderation. Obviously, that doesn't have to be the intent (as may be the case here). The best course of action would be to PM the moderator who locked the first thread and ask for permission to open a new thread on the same subject.

Oh, my vacations and warnings are all 100% valid.

Drinking and forums sometimes don't mix.

On a somewhat serious note, and somewhat related, being a mod is a pretty thankless job, and the mods here do a pretty good job. They're people and they make mistakes, but I don't have much to complain about with the moderation team.

Always said that, since day1 on here (and other forums).

Mods are....just like me and you (well maybe not you - you're a flaming nut job of psychosisand pretty scary ) - joking!

But yeah, Dakka is pretty solid *kiss kiss*
