Just wondering what marks of Power Armor the chest pieces in the Devastator Box are from. I can't really find a good guide....any help would be appreciated.

Could you post photo, which one you had in mind?

Sorry, one of the first White Dwarfs I ever got was 129, which included the original armour fluff article, so this is gonna get really anal.

Picture randomly nabbed from ebay.

left to right:

First & Second: GW's modern update of the old RTB01 plastic Mk6. Like all of the modern Mk6's it has the Mk7 'belt buckle' which is odd because:

Third: Mk5, however unlike the Tactical squad and Forge World Mk5's, this has the old Mk6 belt buckle..

Fourth: Really weird. Mk7 with Mk8 armoured power cables, with Mk3 dangly bit. Exactly why this marine is more concerned with protecting his crotch than his intestines I do not know..

Fifth: Pure Mk8.

Sixth: Pure Mk7.

Last: Mk7 torso and neck ring, 'other*' Mk6 cabling and belt buckle

* there were two versions of the Mk6 cabling, the one found on the RTB01 models, and the other one that was used on the cover art for the RTB01 box and on many of the metals such as the old Leman Russ mini.

Wow, thanks for the detailed answer !!!!! You answered all my questions.

I find it odd they include so many MK 5 torsos, yet never any MK 5 heads/legs anywhere.

What's left of Cadia

TheEyeOfNight- I swear, this thread is 70% smack talk, 20% RP organization, and 10% butt jokes

Sternguard though, those guys are all about kicking ass. They'd chew bubble gum as well, but bubble gum is heretical. Only tau chew gum
