The White Scars gives all your Bikes Skilled Rider and +1 strength to HoW attacks. All units also get Hit and Run and can re-roll their run distance as long as they are only composed of White Scars models. This also means that their Dreadnoughts with 4 attacks base now have hit and run!


Hi there,
I'm a newbie.
The question is: I'm having a custom chapter, based on bikers, that is a successor to white scars i.e im gonna use White Scars chapter tactics. Can I use exact the same secondary rule - hit and run for all units or this is a rule for White Scars only and no successor chapters or other custom chapters using this can have it?

I know the codex is not out so I'm copying this 1d4chan.
I'm aware I can get flamed or mocked, but I have to ask.

For one thing, the codex IS out.

If you use white scars chapter tactics you must run your detachments exactly as you would a white scars detachment.

So yes, any chapter tactics rules that apply to WS will apply to your army

Oh, sorry bout that. I was totally unaware and Im gonna quick search it on amazon.

How your army is painted does not impact the rules you use.

I am starting a homebrew chapter I plan on using as Iron Hands, Salamanders or Ultramarines if I like.

I've seen people using Blood Angels rules with Raven Guard painted models, and Chaos Marines using Space Wolf Rules.

So long as;
Models are equipped exactly as they are modeled (flamer guy has a flamer etc.)
It's clear and obvious what unit is what.
You explain and communicate the rules you are using.
