We had our month 1 OP for Q Continuum today and to my surprise and delight I won with a Federation build

First game was against Scimitar, Reman Warbird and Prototype 01. The Q cards really messed with my opponent's build and I was able to destroy one warbird and the prototype, largely thanks to interphase generators and advanced cloaks being diabled. No losses.

Second game I faced a Sphere, scout cube and queen vessel prime. I lost my two ships fairly quickly but managed to take out both big Borg ships, leaving my fighters to duel with the scout. It was very close but another win.

Third game I faced our best player, with most wins under his belt. He had a type 03, scout cube and Sphere 4270. I lost Voyager on the first round of combat but had got the type 03 to one hull, which I killed next round. I ignored his sphere until he had used his One/Goval combo before killing it and losing Prometheus. Again my fighters took on the scout and won.

It was the first time I've won all three games. The first time I've taken Feds to a tournament. First time Feds have won one of our OPs and my first time using fighters in an OP.

Congrats. The double fighter and bare minimum ships is starting to become a regular almost meta build. It has been forcing me to use the Koranak and a Forwards Weapon Grid with a +1 atack die captian on a galor. 2 local players have not been pleased with the 4 attacks against thier fighters.

For dealing with fighters I like Khazara with Disruptor Pulse. 4 dice against everything in the front arc is nice, 5 if Donatra is near by

I only went so bare because of the scenario, the Q cards really messed with the builds. The guy who finished 3rd had a three fighters and constellation/constitution build

Yeah I hate that list.

So we had a second run of this OP yesterday due to the shop getting two kits.

Only 4 players this time. Three other guys took Dominion.

My list was Reman Warbirds x2 each with cloaked mine, Valdore class with nuclear warhead, Master Strategist Tokens

I fought the Reklar list first and got screwed over by Honored Judge coming up 5 rounds in a row meaning I couldn't use my mines so the fighters chewed me up

Second game versus the Trager list and my mines tore his fleet apart, decent win for me

Third game against the Cardassian list, I got one cloaked mine out thanks to Honored Judge then had the speed restriction Q card turn up 4 rounds in a row preventing my Romulans from coming about, I lost by 7 fleet points because I couldn't turn to strip the last fighter token or finish off the heavily damaged last Cardassian ship

So I came 3rd out of 4 and the Romulans are still the only one of the big 5 not to win one of our OPs
