-Cheaper Stealth suits,

-Kroot with Strength and initiative of 4
-Vehicle Squadrons with appropriate perks.
-Longstrike to get Preferred enemy: Imperial Knight as well as or instead of PE: Guard
-Pathfinder's to get stealth
-Darkstrider's relic to affect vehicles
-Riptide to have more benefits to using the nova reactor, I never use it.
-Riptide to remain a monstrous creature (its far from gargantuan)

Not sure if kidding, but 3.14*=6.28.
Apparently there is this thing in math called tau, which is really just 2*pi. Apparently it's much easier to work with and people who still use pi are silly. I'm getting my math PhD in August and I've never used it. It's not that important.

Could we also get a discount on Devilfish? Maybe move snipers to FA? How about buffing our incredibly crappy aircraft?
Could we redesign them so the bomber isn't better at air-to-air combat and the fighter isn't better at ground attack?

Do they not want our money?
I think they want people to buy them from Forge World.
As far as what I want from the codex, how about a way for buffs to affect more than one unit? Ethereals buff everyone in a 12" radius, but markerlights and command drones only affect a single unit, and that kind of encourages us to run large squads instead of more practical MSU builds.
Maybe there could be a tradeoff of some kind. Like, you can remove markerlight tokens still, or you can try to accumulate as many as possible and then everyone gets a buff while shooting at that target.
-Fireblades to become either a non slot HQ or a unit upgrade for Fire Warriors.
-Stealth Suits either getting T4 or some special invisibility rule until they shoot or enter close combat.
-Kroot gain an extra attack base
-Heavy Rail Rifle (broadsides) becomes Str 9
-Pathfinders gain stealth and move through cover
-Named characters like Darkstrider get a points drop
-Flyers get fixed so they aren't terrible (still an ugly model).
-Don't give Hammerheads Str D. Adjust the points, give it tankhunter, or some other buff to make it a little bit better. If hammerheads had tankhunter base then maybe let longstrike fire at full BS after jinking. Remove his supporting fire bonus.
-Riptides NOT being garguant creatures.
-Better Tau auxillary units like kroot, vespids, and maybe even new models/rules for Gue'vesa, or Tarellians.
Decurion style FOC that supports a Fire Warrior, Pathfinder, Crisis Suit, and Hammerhead/Skyray style of play. I don't want to have Mobile Suit Gundam shoved down my throat.

Tau from GW on the other hand...
Not kidding; noone here learns tau outside engineering/math (I think). Everyone uses pi from what, 7th grade, up to first year of Engineering.
And going from 6/28 to 6.28 is a bit of a long shot. Never have heard of it before!
Buffing rail weapons all across. don't know if D/10/7 (over 10/8/6), or a special rule for tank rape, but something is needed to make them the tank terrors they are fluffed to be rather than the joke they are.
Broadsides should be T5 and 3W, would naturally cost more that way-but the body justifies the stats!
Can we get some new auxillaries?
How about viable stealth suits? they are -almost- there, but not quite.
A rank between "regular joe" and "hero"? there is nothing in the gap between BS3WS2 to BS5WS4. for both ground troops and suit pilots. why can't we get semi-competent Sargent who get more than +1A and +1LD? its not worth the cost and everyone knows it-even with our carp LD.
Darkstrider, make him viable x_x he is so cool, yet so bad.
Can we get Kais (from firewarrior) please? I know he is badshit crazy now, but he IS a truly unique entity, the tau version of a daemon prince basically, given how much khorne messed with him.
can neither confirm nor deny I lost track of what I've got right now.

-Fireblades are great HQs! especially in low points games, why wouldn't you want them has an HQ slot? I wouldn't want to be forced to take a crisis commander. Also if every fire warrior squad could have a fireblade that would be a bit OP.
-Stealth suits shouldn't be T4, They're not marines or crisis suits. Isn't 2+ cover save in terrain good enough?
-I think Darkstrider needs a buff as opposed to a points drop, I suggested having his relic reduce the AV of vehicles by 1 as well as the toughness of infantry by 1. Stealth and move through cover would be good as well. Then you could have Stealthy outflanking fire warrior Spec Ops.

-Rail weapons don't need to be D strength, giving them ordnance would be a good help. this would make the railside slightly more likely to appear as well.
-T5 would be good, 3 wounds would be a bit much.
-They need to get Kroot and Vespid right before they bring in new ones I think. Kroot need to be better in combat and vespid are just hilariously expensive.
-I think stealth suits just need to be cheaper. there's not a lot of point in them while they're the same cost as the bigger, stronger crisis suits.
-Definitely need a middle ground, Shas'vre (or battlesuit sergeants) should have +1 BS at least in my opinion.
-make Darkstrider's relic work on vehicles and give him stealth and move through cover.
Just my thoughts

Assuming Tau don't just get Squatted, which seems to be what everyone else wants, they'll get nerfed into the ground to appease Marine whiners. So I expect copy/paste with the requisite nerfs for the stuff that actually kinda works.

They do, that's why you have to get it from FW and another book to use it too.
Which is precisely why I don't have any tetras. Or a pair of barracudas even though I really like the model. The cost of the models and the book required to use them (which could soon be out of date), plus the ridiculous FW shipping charges, is too god damn much for me.

And going from 6/28 to 6.28 is a bit of a long shot.
No, it's not. It's 6, a separation and then 28. Should be fairly logical. Not to mention that / is not the only way to separate dates. In the opinion of this marine, though, the only correct way to format a date is 2015-06-28, as outlined by ISO 8601.
Also, 14th of March is Pi-day...

Yes, it is. On no month-day-year calendar countries, we use 28/6 - not 28,6 (. is for thousands, like you guys use comma for) and even then noone here commemorates the 'tau day'. Really, 6.28 = tau day IS a bit of stretch, when / is much more common than . at all.

You quoted 6/28, not 28/6
So you knew it was 6/28.
And you're claiming that it's a "long shot" that you replace one divider with another.
Look, I get that you didn't get it. But it's pretty obvious to most people. Maybe you just had an off day or something, but it's not a "long shot" to replace a divider with another when you see the two next to eachother. You can't claim it's not obvious because you use a reversed format when you quoted the correct format in your complaint that it was a long shot.

By fluff, both are ground attack craft, apparently only being deployed after air superiority has been achieved :p

Because Ethereals do everything the Fireblade does, for more units, with more options.

-expand kroot
-add dermiug

-make rail gun the vaunted anti-armour weapon it's supposed to be
-decrease devilfish cost
-make markerlights -1 cover per token
-bring back the ability for markerlights to decrease ld -make seekers not have to be fired at the same target as the rest of the vehicle's guns
-bring back vehicle multitrackers and target locks
-give shield drones sworn protector, or some other way to make it get hit first
-move sniper drone teams to a different slot
-BS4 bodyguards and possibly shas'vres

Fireblades are outclassed by an Ethereal and it eats up HQ slots to fit Fireblades in larger armies. That's why having the option to take a non HQ slot Fireblade (similar to how the Ork codex lets you take non slot meks) for every HQ would get more fireblades on the table but not cut into your roster of named characters, ethereals, commander suits, etc. The thing is Tau HQs are usually focused on support and not so much the amount of heavy lifting the HQ itself can do. When your only benefitting a single unit that cost 100 points then its hard to justify the HQ slot over something that can benefit more powerful units (buffmander, shadowsun), benefit multiple units (ethereal), or do its own heavy lifting (combat commander, farsight, shadowsun).
Stealth Suits currently are far too weak when compared to a crisis suit. 2+ save is nice but at T3 and only 1 wound it dies too quickly compared to a crisis suit (the math shows that volume of bolter fire will kill a stealth suit before it kills a crisis suit). Higher T will make them more durable to justify the points but not increase their firepower. They are bulky power armor. Its not hard to see how an XV25 would have higher toughness than a Fire Warrior, a Vespid is T4 and they are smaller than a Stealth Suit. Dropping the points cost is a viable (if maybe even preferable) option but at the current point level they need to have a higher durability to justify their cost. A crisis suit with a fusion blaster is basically the same cost as a stealth suit with a fusion blaster but the crisis suit is much more durable.
Darkstrider is so squishy for how expensive he is and only being able to join pathfinders or fire warriors. He is a unit that benefits the most from being on the front line and that puts him in a bad spot. Throwing a 100 point model into a roughly 100 point fire warrior squad just says to the enemy "shoot this unit of fire warriors first". Cut his price and he won't become such a huge fire magnet or at the very least a smaller points investment/loss. I want to use my darkstrider in games but every game I play him his unit gets obliterated on turn 1 or the turn after they arrive from reserves (aka they get one round of shooting before most of the unit is dead and his bonus is greatly diminished). His -1T isn't worth the cost of an entire extra unit of firewarriors (2x the wounds, 2x the shooting, 2x the map control.).

If it did become Gargantuan and a LoW they'd probably pull the same crap like they did with the Eldar codex and make it possible to spam them anyway with formations. They'd probably have to, I can't imagine the rage it would cause if they did limit you to 1 when there are people out there who bought 6+ of the damn things, at $85 a pop.
I mean I don't really care myself, I don't like the riptide anyway because it gaks on fluff, it's OP, and I'm not even that fond of how it looks as far as giant robots go, but I feel bad for anyone who spends that much money on models that are perfectly legal to field one day, only to have that build invalidated with a codex update and now they're stuck with models they can't use. In this case though I'd say people should have known better, but still.

Eh...do fire warriors really need to be cheaper? I feel like they're just about right where they are now. I'm pretty happy with them, anyway. I mean they're obviously not the best troops in the game and I don't ever expect them to do much of anything, but they're not really the worst, either.
Agreed on large suits but I think we both know that's not going to happen. Latest rumors said there was going to be another one with lots of missiles, and FW was supposedly working on one that was even bigger. I want a superheavy skimmer or a new tank or something, but I guess I'll never get it.
Hammerheads definitely need something, they're just crap. So are railsides, and I love railsides, too.
Also, why the hell don't shield drones already have Sworn Protector? Sounds like something they really should have because their entire purpose is to eat bullets for the unit they're purchased for.
