To make the Morkanaut worth taking...slightly, I propose the following upgrades.

1: KMK shoots twice.
2: Rokkitz upgraded to 2 TL rokkitz
3: Assault Transport and capacity upgraded to 10
4: Ere we go works on this and Can Run and shoot.

This almost makes the Morkanaut worth taking what say you dakkanauts?

I come in peace. I didn't bring artillery. But I'm pleading with you, with tears in my eyes: If you mess with me, I'll kill you all

Make it super heavy and it's fixed...
It could add assault for some fun. But honestly being super heavy would fix a lot.

1.If we're keeping it the same stock price, I would say that the KMK should just have a different profile when wielded by a Morkanaut similar to how the ghostblade changes stats depending on whether it is held by a wraithknight or a wraithlord. So in this case it should become a S8 AP2 large blast instead of the typical S8 AP2 small blast.

2.I agree with the rokkits becoming twin linked, II always found it weird since they have sets of 2 rokkits and the big shootas are twin linked yet the rokkits aren't for some reason.

3.I agree with it gaining the assault vehicle rule, not quite sure about the increase to 10 for capacity. If it does go up to 10 it would require a points bump.

4.Generally I feel like Ork walkers should have already gotten 'Ere We Go! as a standard, but it would take a big part of the Dred Mob Formation away so I would leave it off until the next codex. Personally I'm not crazy about the run and shoot because that's too close to Eldar dickery for my liking, a Morkanaut should be a ponderous but killy death machine, nto a shoot-and-scoot war walker.

@FratHammer, I know with the advent of the Wraithknight and strength D out the wazoo that making it a super-heavy would be an easy fix, but that would effectively force it into a LoW slot rather than a heavy which I feel marginalizes it too much especially against other opponents. At most I could see it benefiting from the Invincible Behemoth special rule that Super-Heavies have so it doesn't pop from a lucky hit from a meltagun/lascannon but still has the feel of a normal walker.

For 35 points it makes a fine superheavy walker with 6 hull points

I feel the Assault rule should be for the Gorkanaught, not the Morkanaught. Gorks wanna get in and kill stuff anyway, as their guns are less suited to dakka big targets. So, let that have a price bump, give it Assault Vehicle, and maybe give it a bigger capacity.

Morkanaughts though I'd like to see some twin linked, as others have said, on the rockets and maybe a bigger weapon instead of the KMK. I'd love a Shokk Gun option because lol.

Overall, the biggest boon would be making them super heavies. Helps them survive a little more and compared to other SH out there, these are pretty tame overall.

I was against making them super heavies because I wouldn't want other people complaining about the change BUT the fact that the wraithknight got the GARGANTUAN change and is still cheaper than a decked out morkanaut makes me feel like it should be a superheavy. 310 points

I was originally against the idea, but it's really the best change for them so they have a little more oomph without overly changing everything about them. Due to their inherent size, it would stand to reason they could be super heavies too. People would likely be annoyed that we have a Superheavy in a non LOW slot, but at this point, Orks won't be breaking the game by any means...and the unit is STILL fairly sub par, but makes it worth using more often.
