First off, thanks to The Shrike for opening my eyes up to the possibility of running something like this. The list is basically three big units of fast moving daemons moving up to midfield in a hurry and either denying area or chewing on whatever gets close. 18 Warp Charges and Fateweaver grease the gears on the pain train. Idea would be to spread out buffs as evenly as possible to force target priority issues. Warp Charges would primarily go towards buffs, but I could see the list being able to pull off about a summon a turn for objective capping screamers.
CAD
Fateweaver
Nurgle Herald: ML2, Greater, FNP Locus
Nurgle Herald: ML2, Greater
Tzeentch Herald: ML3, Disc, Exalted
Tzeentch Herald: ML3, Disc
11x Horrors
11x Horrors
6x Plague Drones: Venom Sting
8x Screamers
Allied Detachment
Khorne Herald: Juggernaut, Lesser, Locus of Wrath
3x Nurglings
10x Flesh Hounds
Several utility powers on Fateweaver that usually don't get noticed really seem like they would make the list pop by making the Hounds almost as difficult to kill as the extremely tanky Screamers and Drones.
Invisibility: well duh. Invis Hounds, 2+ Cover 4+/5+ FNP drones, and 2++ rerollable Screamers. Fahget about it.
Shrouding: Fatey casts Shrouding for 2+ rerollable cover on Screamers so Screamers can Grimoire Hounds. Drones seek cover for 2+/3+ Cover and 4+/5+ FNP
Forewarning: Cast on Hounds for 4++, likely to be combo'd with Cursed Earth for a 3++ on Hounds. Screamers and Drones still hard as nails to kill.
Fire Shield: Say what, Pyromancy? Yes, Pyromancy. Can be cast on Drones for natural 4+ cover save + shrouded for 2+ cover. Let's them roam a little more freely.
Cursed Earth: With 3 large foot print fast moving units Cursed Earth is going to be awesome. Cast from Fatey or ScreamerStar and Profit.
Endurance: Awesome on either the Hounds or Plague Drones. Fairly likely that either Fateweaver or one of the Nurgle Heralds will know it.
Thoughts? Anything that could be better for ~300 points than the hounds?

Is it possible to have an Allied Detachment which shares a faction with the primary?
The following restriction of the Allied Detachment makes me think you can't:
All units chosen must have a different Faction to any of the units in your
Primary Detachment (or no Faction).

This is a problem; but correct me if I'm wrong, he'd be cool to take Khorne Daemonkin no?

Depends on the points costs of nurglings as opposed to Khorne Daemonkin troops (not sure how much nurglings cost and whether KDK can take cultists). I assume that otherwise the list would be okay

They can take cultists, but cultists are more expensive than nurglings. Not sure how the points would work out. Might have to drop down to 7 Screamers. Which, really wouldn't be the end of the world.

Well I was under the impression that a lot of major tourneys are allowing slef ally, but if not it could be easily accommodated by allying KDK. Cultists can be taken in units of 8 so 5 less points than Nurglings. Axe of khorne costs 30 in that dex though so i'd have to drop two horrors.
Either way any thoughts on its threat level?

Well, if that's the trade it doesn't make that big a difference. Two less warp charge; sort of. I mean those Horrors weren't staying at full strength past T1 lol.
Your biggest weakness is your lack of high S. You'll be fine against Gladius parking lots because you'll totally crump rear AV10. The problem will be Drop pods and Necron vehicles. Hammerhand might just be more important to your list than it normally would be. And even those aren't THAT big a problem. Only so many pods will land on target on top of critical objectives. You simply have to prioritize those. And even Necron players that "spam" vehicles still typically do so within the bounds of a Decurion. Which usually means 3 arks and a Bargelord. Nothing you can't handle over the course of a game.
Vulnerabilities aside, you will totally sweep everything non-vehicle in a Gladius off the board; at least as they are typically constructed in the listverse. As for Crons, it really depends on what type of Decurion. If it's the type with 5 units of flayed ones and triple Canoptek Harvest, yeah, you might have a problem with tarpitting. But Cron CC spam seems to be less prevalent. We'll have to see how it shakes out.
But overall? It's f'in strong man. And it's very good at dealing with MSU; which I believe is the wave of the future as the meta goes.
