So for a very long list of reasons not the least of it being the health of my wallet I moved away from GW games in general and let my models gather dust. But like a old friend or beloved pet you left with your parents when you moved out I would check in every once in awhile. I saw a new release here or there saw the end times stuff and did the oohs and ahs and then ran when i saw the price Nagash before i could get sucked back in. Then I saw few days ago on the miniwargaming newletter the new Age of Sigmar set and read the description and saw the whoel the Warhammer world is gone thing. So I must simply ask DA HAPPENED!! if you guys know a good place to read it please send me that way.

Well large scale fantasy army battles has just been turned into a much different game, lets see what happens now.

When it comes to this change, for me personally its like waking up to find your Chrysler car has turned into a Dodge,
sure the Dodge might be a great car but I didn't buy a Chrysler because I wanted it secretly to be a dodge I would have bought one of those if I wanted it.
Now that my car is no longer the car I liked, im sure the Dodge runs great but its not what I bought into so im going to trade it in for a different Chrysler might not be the same but its closer to the car I like.

I get that you're quite passionate about AOS, but getting the freeze frame of George RR Martin giving the bird is (a) probably on the verge of violating rule #1 and (b) will never get people to listen to your thoughts on the matter. And if your goal is just to troll people, then we'll that's a separate issue that will probably not make your tenure on Dakka a particularly long one.

and the comments can vary... some are like "only children will play this" or "this is stupider version" which is both indirectly insulting the players as though they are childlike or cannot grasp the complex game.

But I have not directly named anyone, that is for them to know themselves and they know who they are... these "individuals" have no need to defend themselves because I have not named them in any way.... and I am not baiting anyone into an argument, I would like to not have an argument, I prefer to accept that everyone is unique and different and nothing really matters, life is absurd, we are all going to die.

You're being abrasive and passive-aggressive. Don't take other people's differing opinions so personal. Just because someone doesn't like a game that you do, it's no reflection on you as a person.

But you accused users of breaking the rules vague or not. You have openly said people who do not like AoS have been going around targeting users who do and insulting them directly and calling them names.

oh bother, firstly I did not accuse them directly because that would be wrong... they know who they are, users have their opinions but when they say "only children play this game" it is an insult to some other users, I am not talking about 1-3 users because plenty have made such comments, people can be open about disliking AoS as people can be open about liking it but we do not need to resort to people accusing others of being children whilst doing so... also it was not an attempt to scare the users into silence, because that would be censorship, this was me stating my opinion about how people behave themselves, if you think its ok to "indirectly" insult AoS players as children its your choice to do so... you can dislike AoS without having to call its players children..

seems to me you are very one sided in your beliefs as you you believe I am somehow breaking the rules by indirectly accusing others of insults but you are ok with others indirectly insulting others.

Well, I saw someone say that only children can like AoS. And then random person admits that he likes AoS, so he basically should feel like he was called a child because he likes the game?

I'm not taking anyone's side in this discussion, but such generalizations can, in fact, be mildly insulting as they're indirect attacks.

Saying "only idiots like apples" when standing next to someone eating an apple isn't really better than saying "you are an idiot because you like apples".

Especially that there are other ways to express one's dislike in something that don't involve other people.

Haha, you have no idea how great a set-up he got with that.

Now that the TV show moved past the last book and was declared the canon lore of ASoIaF (and next books will just be "what-ifs" alternate history to that as Martin said) he doesn't even have to rush at all - HBO knows it all, it doesn't have to wait for him to finish any books at all, they have all the scripts till the end of the saga.

Now he can slack as much as he wants and he still gets ridiculous amounts of money, that man is living the dream!
