I'm just thinking how different it's going to be compared to the latest beta rules. Also, if you buy army bundles (like Lady Ilona's army) will you get the old book or the new one? Genuinely curious since I think I want to buy it all in one go.

Since the new book isn't printed yet, I'd say you probably get the old one with the models you currently purchase. The PDF of the rules drops today, but the book won't be out in print until some time next month if I read the announcements correctly.

It's at the printers at the moment but the print run hasn't started yet.

The newsletter normally goes out between 5 and 6pm UK time on a Friday.

It's up but it seems incomplete...some key units missing from some lists that were in the beta (armoured pikemen, no dwarf beserkers) and the main rules don't have scenario's...

I don't know what to do? Go to google and type kings of war free rules...it's what I've done...I have the PDF's on my phone. I've had them for about an hour!!!!!! Since I went pub at 4!

Someone just pointed out mantic sent out a test link to their pathfinders and I must of accidently found that and I should ignore it...I don't know if that means the PDF's are not the right ones...I doubt it though if I've emailed through! Cheers and gone!

I sent a PM to Hyglar - edit, and I now have documents, woot!!! Just the rules and kingdom of men pdf, though, and I'm after Abyssal Dwarfs darn it

I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news. One of the rules committee emailed and said that they are probably trial PDF's emailed out to pathfinders to check the link. I must of stumbled across it when I was refreshing the page-reloading the search.

Yep that was me. I don't know exactly if the PDFs were final or whatever, but someone started complaining that certain units were missing even though they're in my print copy PDF.

Worst case scenario is that those PDFs were test copies, not final, and get rehosted by wargaming news sites, leading to a lot of confusion (and nerd rage) over what are the proper rules.

Put it down to EXTREME excitement and keeness on getting these PDF's...
I don't think I've ever been so excited about a new edition of a wargame since I first unpacked warhammer 40k 2nd edition when I was 10 years old.

In the Gamer’s Edition of the Kings of War Rulebook, which starts for a little as £10/$25, you will find the complete force lists, all the spells, and magic items – the complete rules you need to play.

And finally the complete Kings of War 2nd Edition hardback book has the background for the world, the armies and the units. It’s filled with photos of battles, stories and great art. If you are serious about big battles – and you like the rules - there’s no better place to go than here.

Looks to me as though the free army lists are a cut down version of the full one from the printed rulebook.
