Hi new member here with a quick rules question, appologies if this has been raised before but I havent been able to find an answer through Google.
So can you target a unit in a firing point (building or transport)?
I think the answer would be no as when you embark to a transport or building the models are removed from the table therefore you would not be able to see the unit or draw Los to it.
However my friend argues that as you can fire from the firing point and shooting is supposed to be simultaneous technically the model that fired from the firing point should be visible to the enemy in the enemies turn.
What does dakka think?

You can't. The unit does not actually show itself through any part of the vehicle/building, which means you have to destroy the vehicle/building to reveal them.
Otherwise there'd be a vehicle internal cover save mechanic.

No, you can't target units in firepoints. The only way to do that is with Template weapons, because of the "No Escape!" rule
You can't trace LoS to units in buildings/embarked transports, so you cannot target them.

It used to be, but not in the manner described here.
Shooting from each unit was and still us sequential.
Shooting from a single unit was simultaneous, but is now sequential.
And obviously my shooting phase and your shooting phase are completey sequential.
