This is just annoying.
They're trying to (war)hammer the point home that we're all too old for their games, I guess.
Ok. Considering the AoS debacle has finally gotten my group to open their minds regarding the wealth of massively better made games from smaller companies... I guess this really was what the hobby needed.
The unfortunate part is that 40k has fallen off around here. AoS was received so badly that it had a carry-over effect and has actively hurt 40k enthusiasm and turn-out.

A 20 man box for about 60 dollars isn't too bad of deal, especially if there's multiple weapon options.
There's extra weapons, every model in that box will end up with extra arms growing off them knowing me...

What's more, as I mentioned on the page before, those rules are not the actual rules for playing in the various realms that are given in the AoS book.
Those are the rules that Warhammer World has added for if your faction "controls that realm", per what has been posted.

Ah well, I guess that just confirms that is aimed at children and young teens.
It certainly will not attract the same crowd that WFB did, but there is a good chance it will be popular in its own right.

It definitely is in a different (I think pretty interesting) style. If I was a betting man, I'd say it's fake though, but not because of te style of the art/painting, but rather the style of the overall graphic/book design. Doesn't have the polished look that GW has been honing with all its excessively priced, endlessly limited editions.

They are releasing a lot of stuff to retail stores for the first week, then it goes to the website.
One of these is going that way, i forget which.
Balefire may be back, on the website, they realize they screwed that one up. "Someone didn't think it would sell". My contempt for whoever at GW does their forecasting is always amazingly high. "We base our forecasts on this thing sort of like the thing we are selling, that sold 5 years ago, but was different and didn't tie into anything. "

While 20 blood reavers for £35 may be crazy. The dryad repack went up in model count and the annual report said they would experiment with box sizes and prices. This could be first of many. Plus having 40 already from the starter sets and only having built 20. If it comes with enough weapons I could see myself having 3 units of reavers all armed differently

Sure we did--the AoS book.
None of the art in there matched that style. That looks like Blanche art.
It would have fit in with the End Times stuff, but it looks off here. Not only that--it looks like it isn't an actual "book". Look over to the left side, it appears to be in a document binder.

Bloodreavers aren't "elite" units like the Stormcast though.
Bloodreavers have a save of "-"(meaning no saves at all) and you get 20 of them in the starter, which it only gives you one command set for as well.

Not big enough to justify 35 quid for 5 unless they do a 3in1 kit. Which is very doubtful.
