So I was thinking, I just threw away my khorne daemonkin codex in the garbage and started to repaint my army to nurgle iron warriors, but i have always loved the lore and the stats of the great unclean one, however the gw model looks like it was inspired by a crayon drawing by a kindergardner so i was just wondering if you guys had any opinions on alternative models for the great unclean one with relatively the same price so no fw. and what does oop? mean

One of two things, depending on context: Outside-Of-Packaging, or Out-Of-Production.

Some eBayers seem to add it to auctions that are still in production and still in the packaging, so I don't tend to pay much attention to it.

If you are reading this on a full screen, point at the grey letters. Both FW and OOP are grey, and have pop-up explanations.

But, as said, OOP usually means out-of-production, and cannot be bought from the original supplier.

I recently had the exact same problem.
I hate the GW GUO (and the price they charge for that gak is extortionate).

In the end, I chose the LOTR watcher in the water because it suited my swampy theme.
There are some more alternative models out there if none of these take your fancy.

I agree. Should have put it on ebay so someone can buy it there instead of having to give their money to GW.

i didnt really throw it, it's just sitting in my basement, i never really liked khorne except for the berzerkers but they werent even that good so i let it go

UltraForge used to make an awesome Great Unclean One, but they don't sell it anymore (GW probably came a-knockin'). However, you can typically find a few floating around on eBay. I got one for about $25.

Not one person has suggested the glotkin? Just leave the other 2 brothers off of the top and use the big one

Side note, I think I'm going to do a King In Yellow conversion for a GUO eventually. Anyone have any general suggestions for finding look-alike models?

Damn, the FW GUO was going to be my first suggestion. It might be expensive, but it's easily one of the best sculpts ever done for Chaos.
