Wow, I must say I really enjoyed that format. Although, I think the nicely painted armies helped! Excellent BatRep, I demand moar!

Thanks for the input! Great to hear position comments :-)))))

Yes! Great painted minis help a lot! Alas alot of mine are not painted, but there are some great batreps with great minis on there which can be viewed in the same presentation mode check out Greggle's profile and Oakenhawk's profile

Nice report and nice style. Would definitely read again, though I would prefer a key-press for making the text go away rather than the mouse hover. Army lists would also have been nice.

Noted and added to the "todo list". Good idea! Lists are in the system, just not on this style - yet.

Thanks for reading!

It was interesting. I think the part I liked most about the batrep was the well painted armies and the good lighting. Even people who pump out batreps on youtube "professionally" have bad lighting sometimes.

I think I would like it more if there was a play button where I could click that and then all of the slides would play, with text being a different slide or on the bottom of the screen. That would work really well for the close up photos you managed to take, which look awesome. It would be more like watching a movie.

Thanks for the kind words! The report was not written by me, but The Battle Directory web site was. This was just a great looking report to showcase this new view style.

I noticed you now made 'ctrl+c' switch the text on and off. Any chance this could be 'shift' instead? I got my hand over the arrow pad and shift is nice and close by. Also, could it be 'hold shift' to hide and 'release shift' to show? Kind of like the earlier hover function, but with a key. Also, on a tablet, you have 'click to close' which is nice, but how do I get the text back? Sorry about the whining, I do appreciate the work you put in!

All great points! And you're not whining, you're really helping me out!

The hold shift key idea is genius and is now in place.

Clicking to close now shows a restore link in the top right - so you can get the text areas back too.

Thanks again Oddball!

Oh I absolutely love this presentation style. It nicely combines text and pictures.

A reader can simply "add in" their epic narrator voice or announcer if it is a tourny style kinda report. I confess I am a bit adverse to the whole video battle report due to possible ideas of my (or another's) voice being not so inspiring or stumbling over my words.

Lead - "As the Wolf!"
Response - "We answer the call!"
Lead - "And like the Wolf!"
Response - "We bring His light to the darkness!"

Interesting format. Good looking armies but I would have liked to see more shots of the whole table!
