DOUGLAS COUNTY – A Colorado Springs man was arrested Saturday after allegedly jumping into the ring during a jousting show at the Colorado Renaissance Festival and stealing a performer's sword from a haystack.
The incident happened sometime between 1:30 and 4 p.m.
Douglas County Sheriff's Office spokesperson Deborah Sherman says a wench-costumed woman put him in a headlock to keep him from making off with the jouster's sword. The suspect was later identified as 22-year-old Connor Ward. The woman says Ward was apparently drunk.
When police arrived, Sherman says Ward attempted to assault an arresting officer but was ultimately unsuccessful.
He was arrested for attempted assault on a police officer, resisting arrest and theft.
The owner of the Renaissance Festival says no one was injured during the altercation

TBF the "headlock" doesn't look too fearsome, but guessing that's after he "surrendered"
