so the horned rat has taken over slaanesh which is not bad IMO (its about time he got a place in the panteon, I mean skaven outnumbered all the other races) but I wonder what the horny ones represent in the pantheon, in his description it says "blight and pestilence incarnate" but we all know that is nurgle so I guess MAYBE he will be a mixture of deception, backstabbing, lies, cruelty, egotism (skaven qualities) and pestilience and blight is just a bonus (like slaanesh being god of excess but also excelling at war which is khorne).

So the horny ones are the future what do we think? good? bad? need more time? what is the potential? could Slaanesh and Horned one unite at one point or maybe they already have and become a new god, the HORNY ONES.

Is that verified? I thought it was just rumour based on Slaanesh's symbol having changed and Slaanesh him/herself being held captive.

pretty much verified, its in the new and rumours page, horned one ascended and slaanesh is missing, but not gone... just missing, I think he is sleeping after eating lots of souls and will come back with a huge bang at one point.

I'm really hoping he doesn't just get Squatted, since a Dark Elf/ Chaos Slaaneshi cult is what I had in mind for my force...

I was talking about this at my LGS yesterday, and we were trying to figure how the Horned Rat fit in to the pantheon as well. On one hand, pestilence and decay, on another hand, change and modification are also hallmarks of the Horned Rat. Another is back-stabbing sneakiness....

I always thought he was the god of vermin in general, and that decay and sneakiness were just spin-offs of that.

Of course, I may have made this up and not realised it, but it works enough for me.
