General Idea with the list is to deepstrike everything as soon as possible to make my opponent threat overload from all the nurgly chaotic chaos. How do you guys think it will do in semi-competitive play? How do you think I could improve it? I still have 379 pts left over without my HQ and Compulsory Troops. I could run a kitted out Nurgle Lord with two minimum Plauge squads for a little backfield presence. Maybe a fast moving sorcerer for psysupport with some spawn, but that would leave me with min cultist troops, pretty much taking me out of my own backfield. I'm also tempted to run three lone Nurgle Spawn. (Due to the fact it is entierly possible that nothing shows up on the board and three lone nurgle spawn are pretty hard to kill and easy enough to hide.} What are your thougts?

Is it a 1500 friendly? I personally don't know too much about it but usually all terminator armies struggle.. deep striking means you are at best in combat at turn 3 which is awful..

Still I like the theme.. really good strong theme..

I would definately take a chaos lord HQ in terminator armour to go with the close combat terminators.. then I would decide to have all my good anti armour power weapons in one terminatorsquad.. and then the others get weapons that help thwm.vs hordes or vehicles respectedly.. (I have to apologise I am not familiar with chaos codex as to what you can get exactly, my advice is based on facing a near identicle army once, and how that felt to play against)

It's ballsy, I'll give you that. Nearly 3/5 of your points piled into 19 models seems a little light though, even for Chaos Marines. Why the Helbrute formation? Last I'd heard, the 'brute was under performing more often than not.

For 379 points, I think you'll be hard pressed to fill your HQ and Troops compulsories...

The mayhem pack is actually pretty good, it tackles the helbrutes biggest flaw which is crossing the game table.

I'm not a big fan of deepstrike on chaos... we don't have a single bonus to help with either scatter or to secure the drop on early turns. IF you still plan on deepstriking, I'd made them termicide squads, 3 termies, all with combi plasmas/meltas and no upgrades. That would leave you with 3 termicides and the mayhempack, those are still 4 3+ rolls that you need to get them into the game and therefore I'd take the aegis defense line as a fortification with the upgrade that allows you re-roll reserves.

Also the power scourge isn't really worth it, stick to the fists. All those point costs should easily allow you to fit a good HQ + bikers/spawns and the troops you need. Some havocs with autocannons would be nice to set on the ADL.

I recommend dropping the termie heavy flamer, and then replacing the power scourges on the brutes with a fist/flamer combo. That way, you get a bit more firepower if you hit that immobilized result (which really sucks when in combat, mind you, as your opponent hits on rear armor).

You might also want to mix and match some of the power mauls in your termie squads so you can at least threaten some light vehicles. I also vote for combi-meltas over plasma, on at least one of the termie squads.

I second a termie lord, but I don't see it fitting points-wise unless you take minimum cultist squads, which IMHO just plain suck in a list like this. Alternatively, you can do one barebones Plague Marine squad in rhino (points are tight, for sure, but you really need that rhino, if for anything another ObjSec unit; a melta gun would also be nice), and a barebones CSM squad in rhino (again, with meltagun or flamer); add in an el cheapo MoN chaos lord to join the CSM squad [and unlock the plagues as troops], and you have some decent troops on a budget. If points are too tight, shaving the above heavy flamers on the brutes should help.

Heavy Flamers instead of Scourges

2 Choas Lords
27 Cultists
26 Cultists
2pts left
(Cultist Swarms march up the table to join all the deepstriking units or stay back and camp on objectives if needed. Adds lots of bodies to up my model count but will die in drones)

Chaos Lord MoN termi
Plague Marines
Plague Marines
4pts left
(Termi picks a squad he likes and charges in with them, plagues play objectives. Nice and tough, but not enough points for special weapons)

Sorcerer ml3 bike familiar
10 cultists
10 cultists
3 Nurgle Spawn
11pts left
(Sorcerer joins three nurgle spawn to provide support for my deepstrike units. Good to have some psychic support, but it will cost me 100pts that can't do much else besides hiding)

Chaos Lord MoN
Chaos Space Marines Rhino Flamer
Plague Marines Rhino 2 flamers or 1 melta
4pts left
(Lord jumps in with normal marines and i drive both up into somethings face. Might switch a Helbrutes heavy flamer for derpcasters{no overwatch 6in of rhinos} buuuuut I don't own any rhinos )

2 Lords
13 Cultists
13 Cultists
3 spawn
2pts left
(Lords with cultists, spawn spread out and most likely get ignored until they can annoy something)

Chaos Lord
5 Chaos Marines
10 Chaos Marines Lascannon
Agis with a comms relay 70pts
4pts left
(Would have to get rid of a heavy flamer to make it fit. Didn't want to buy the line and not use the cover so Ill park the lascannon team on it. Helps with the deepstriking but doesn't really the theme too well.)

What do you guys think?
