Hey guys me and a friend are putting togheter some of his tyranids. He doesnt have a codex yet so we have a question. Do the heads matter?(i saw a video on MWG where matt said the heads and the top cataprace were different biomorphs). But i cant find anything on them online so just wondering because we are about to magnetoze he weapons so we want to know if we should magnetize them as well.

The only heads that 'matter' is the one with the gun barrel in the throat. That's bio plasma. Sort of looks like really fethed up cheeks with its jaws open. The half a skull one is Regenerate. The rest used to matter back in 4th but those options were taken away.

What biomorph would it be? I haven't seen a Carnifex in forever.

The heads come in Tusked, Enhansed Senses (the bug antennae), normal, Bio Plasma and Regenerate. There might be one more I'm forgetting. The top carapace is Spine Banks or Spore Cysts. I don't think Spore Cysts is a thing anymore, but Spine Banks are.
Don't forget the tail. Bone Mace and Thresher Scythe are also purchasable options.
I mean, you CAN magnetize every little bit, but Carnifex Barbie isn't all that important. I have never seen anyone complain about a tooled up Carnifex being a simple Dakkafex. Most people hate the shrimp arms that a Dakkafex is 'supposed' to have.

Yeah we were looking online and they look pretty crappy with just the devouer arms. He still want to magnetize them. Be just got into the hobby so just want to have it magnetizednjust in case. But me being a marine player had no idea what the pieces were.

In my experience it really dont matter, as long as you are clear about what upgrades and what not it has. Beside a litle mixing makes for a more intresting modle, witch is imporant

At least it's not a Cantifex.
Those things just sit on their arses all day saying, "Nope, can't be done."
In all seriousness, the above posters are right. Really though, I wouldn't care as long as you pay the points cost for things and then tell me the biomorphs. Most people aren't sticklers for WYSIWYG.
