Hello everyone,
I've been hard at work putting together/painting a new Ad Mech force, and can't help but feel that the units released so far are only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Ad Mech releases.
My question to you is: What do you think/want to see released along with the new AM codex (hypothetically to be released in the future) that would give the army a well-rounded play-style, and allow them to stand on their own?
My immediate ideas are 1) durable,fast transports 2) aircraft with fighter/bomber option 3) more varies HQ selection and special characters.
I'd like to see what you think. Cheers!

They desperately need a transport of some kind, preferably open-topped AV 12 all around to keep with their theme.
Hell give them the first Walker type transports in the game.

I'd love to see a worker/servitor hoard. I don't know why GW doesn't do more hoard units these days.
Just a whole bunch of dudes with drill arms and cables dripping off of them, garbed in boiler suits or just rags with tons of superfulous cyber bits and hoses. The Mech probably grabbed them from the nearest mine or factory and sent them into battle.
They'd have something like IG stats, FNP, shotguns/autoguns. Upgrade 1 in 5 to PF, plasma cannon, mutli melta or heavy bolter.

1) Tech Priest Ordinatus: I want a weapon that you drop, roll scatter, then roll a single D6 and the scatter die and flip the small blast that many times in the indicated direction to determine the targeting.
Honestly I wouldn't even give a gak if it were any good, that would be sweet.
2) an actual unit of techpriests and servitors. I mean, come on. Give them additional fun options and numbers and they'd be wicked fun.
3) an equivalent of the Thanatar from Forgeworld. Or just Relic Thanatars.
4) An equivalent of the Triaros Armored Conveyor, or again, Relic rules.
5) Baba Yaga style transport walker. I want chicken legs or spindly spider legs. Tentacles may also be acceptable
6) close combat servitors with mecha dendrites
7) a couple named characters might be nice.
8) Thallax. Those things are sweet.

Termite- Think Drop pod but subterranean
Ordinatus Minoris- Heavy Support artillery role like Basilisk for Guard. Gun options like heavy eradication beamer, neutron cannon, Grav destructor
Prime Alpha (HQ Skitarii with 3 wounds)
Tech Assassin (Elite slot single model, weaker version of the temple assassins)
Gunship/fighter like a cross between the Storm Talon and Terminator HK flier
Cult Mech-
Servitor Thralls- Cheap troops, CC and ranged variants, with a Techpriest handler. Shared unit with IG
Heavier War Robot as a single unit, maybe based on the old Space Crusade Chaos Dreadnought

the most obvious ad mech thing missing here (other then transports) is a titan.
right now, even deploying a titan is difficult. you'd need to run a CAD (or run unbound) with cult mech (as opposed to their own detachment) if you wanted to deploy an actual titan alongside the admech forces. this seems to me too be, for a unified admech 'dex the biggest most obvious issue

Seeing as the skitarii are mostly a small (I believe there were like 500-3000 protecting a forge with a small titan legion in one the books), elite, defensive force (for titans or forges/factories) not having their own vehicles or aircraft makes sense. Most likely since they are basically bioengineered, cyborgs, without free will they were designed to keep up with titans on the ground on foot as their primary function is to protect the titans on foot. They really just have no need for combat transports and if needed would most likely acquisition chimera and valkyries from the IG, hence they are allies in game and have neither of these in their books.
I think combat transports of any kind really don't make sense from a fluff standpoint. I can see how a mechanicus player would want them(I am sure other factions would like things too), but since they are part of the IoM they already get near unparalleled transport options from their allies, namely in drop pods.
Not having a titan is rather surprising and realistically all titans should just of been part of the ad-mech book, but if its in there they can't sell it to you in another book.
Also not having HQ versions of skitarii alphas along with any named characters seems odd.

well the reason for a lack of titans in the 'dex is due to not ahving plastic titans. still the lack of a LOW slot is, IMHO the biggest issue with admech over all. so I suppose I'd suggest they add a lord of war of sometype. that way those who wanted to, could squeeze in titans

I don't think this can be an argument at all, literally every model in the skitarii/ad-mech book didn't exist before so making a new plastic titan model (even just a warhound that is similar in size to a Knight as the only one) shouldn't of been an issue.
