Indeed. GW doesn't do what GW does for GW. GW does what GW does because GW is GW.

...Not even CLOSE to the truth. Able to hand out FNP easily? Formation to easily gain a bunch of Bikers?

A few good units doesn't make it the better codex when the Daemonkin has actual synergy and good bonuses...

The blood tithe system is a Death spiral game mechanic especially if you cant earn any kills. The 3 other chaos players i watch b@** and moans about losing their models to gain blood token points so they can get fnp on units that are already dieing since they cant move fast enough to charge the scat bikers or kill anything.

Mean while I am sitting back with my nurgle obliterators shaking off scat lasers with my 2+ armor. The scat wounds on a 3 due to my t5 instead of the easy 2+ to wound on t4 models. Also my plague marines amd zombies fnp any failed saves vs the scat bikes. Guess what? They dont even have to earn tithe points to get that fnp.

Nurgle for the win.

1. You get points just for dying too.
2. REALLY? Shrugging off Scatterlasters huh? The equivalent points of them (5 points less, mind you) kill a whole Nurgle Obliterator. That doesn't seem like a big deal until you realize only two Obliterator weapons can reach them, and Scatterbikes can also JSJ.
3. Zombies don't get FNP vs Scatterbikes, so you're either cheating or don't know how to pay correctly. An equal amount of points of Scatterbikes to Plague Marines will still kill 2 Plague Marines. That's a lot of them. You're probably not going to reach them either because Rhinos are terrible and easily popped. The equal amount of Plague Marines + Rhino to the Scatterbikes shows that the Scatterbikes will almost GUARANTEE all HP removed after firing. Then the Plague Marines have to walk.

No. Easily earned Blood Tithe Points + excellent FOC SHOWS that Khorne Daemonkin is superior.

Your anecdotal evidence is always going to be of less value than math. Understand that now.

Why would they do a soft cover for a codex that is 3 years old... To me it seems like it should be something new, otherwise why not just run with the hard covers?

Because they might want to keep it in stock/for sale?

The End Times books went softcover after their print run of hardcovers was depleted. Not long before AoS launched a few of the hardcover army books went softcover as well. I know of Tomb Kings straight off the top of my head.

Kdk really is superior to the standard codex csm lol and if your friends are complaining about how the kdk book functions clearly they can't know much about khorne at all....

Kdk is better hands down, for starters it has formations, no chance of spawndom, Greater deamons and fearless deamons without the need for allies, bloody (ha) good relics, it's basically just better, yes it uses pretty much the same units, but it is implemented in a much better manner.

The only thing I see rules-wise on the canadian site that is out of stock is the crimson slaughter supplement, but a few of the upgrade kits (thousand sons, death guard shoulderpads, etc) are also unavailable. The codex is still there though as far as i see.

Amen to this I'm considering running a unbound list of slaughter cult + bikes lol. I don't get objective secured in the slaughter cult anyway soo

Because I have 1 formation then a unit of bikes which isn't in a detachment

You can take 4 units of Bikers though.

Instead of unbound, take a gorepack. Now , you're battleforged and have pretty good formation bonuses.
