Hello, i had a game a few moments ago and i played ethereal in a devilfish and had it's rules on going, is this right or can he not use the powers?? Thx

Okey, sry. But, so there is no problem with having a ethereal in a devilfish with his powers still activ and use them on troops outside of the devilfish

I prefer to use it for my suits, actually, as it allows the ethereal to keep up with them. even better, get the D-pod and jink every turn for the cover save, and the ethereal's abilities will be unaffected.

more than that though, a devilfish can grant a cover save to a riptide as well, that can move with it.

Specifically (for the benefit of anyone searching for it), the last sentence of the first paragraph under 'Embarking' on page 80 of the rulebook:
If the players need to measure a range involving the embarked unit (except for its shooting), this range is measured to or from the vehicle's hull.
Wargear and other special rules don't need rules specifically allowing them to be used when embarked. And where they are altered when embarked it will be written in the special rule or wargear description itself (such as Ork Kustom Force Fields, Azrael's Lion Helm, Imperial Guard Orders, etc.).

I haven't played in a tournament with them since I got them. Though I will be switching jobs in a bit, so I might make it to some in the near future.

The ethereal is T3 and no saves, its risky to have him on foot against some enemies and outright foolish against others. Best place for him is in a bunker but short of that keeping him in a fish is the way to go.

Yes, there is no restriction on using abilities inside vehicles unless:
A) They specifically say so (such as Psychic powers),
B) They require Line Of Sight.
