Had our Q Continuum OP2 today. Having won OP1 as Federation (our first Fed win) I decided it was high time the Romulans actually won, after many "always the bridesmaid" 2nd or 3rd finishes.

Got a bye for the first game. Second game I faced a Dominion fleet of 2 hidekis and 2 galors. Madred took care of the opposing Dukat and the mines wreaked havoc on the opposing ships.

Third game I faced another Dominion fleet of 2 hidekis and 3 galors. Again the mines tore ships apart and the surprise factor of the D'deridex reverse move (which STILL catches people out) helped me to victory.

So the poor maligned D'deridex has had its day in the sun. When used correctly disruptor pulse and beam are great weapons!

Nice job. Slowly the empire will spread its wings over the whole galaxy

I like it, but I prefer the maneuvering dial of the Valdore...

I LOVE the Romulans in this game... they are one of the factions that I have the least issues with, and I hear the fewest gripes about. I love the flexibility of the generic crew choices as well.

That it is. If only it had 4AD primary it'd be fantastic. People say it lacks maneuverability but it has white hard turns and that reverse catches so many opponents out!

With Romulan Helmsman it has amazing maneuverability, reverse then Sensor Echo

I like the Avatar of Tomed and the generic borg/Rom. 4 attack and an extra shield are ace. The Avatars ability is also a great way to get rid of those besky crits

I personally love the Haakona. throw a couple of other ships into the fleet and drop the Advanced Cloaking device onto it and BOOM... you have a potential for up to 7 attack dice.
