Ok, so I was playing with a few friends and he had a great unclean one. When he was doing his stomp attacks , basically what it came down too was the stomps ended up hitting something that was almost 8-12" away.... Is this just one of those rules that is being debated ? or is the rule clear about how stomps work? I thought the blast marker had to be touching the models base?

The first blast marker needs to touch the model's base. But any stomps after that just need to touch the previous blast markers. So since stomps get D3 blast markers, you could potentially line up 3 blast markers and hit something 12 inches away.

I don't think it's debated RAW. A lot of people agree that it is dumb but the RAW is clear.

Any stomps after the first just need to be within 3" of a previous blast, not touching

1. Great Unclean One's don't have access to Stomp.
2. This is indeed how Stomp works. It is the single most powerful rule in game.

"'players must agree how they are going to select their armies, and if any restrictions apply to the number and type of models they can use."

This is an actual rule in the actual rulebook. Quit whining about how you can imagine someone's army touching you in a bad place and play by the actual rules.

When people ask, "What's the point in understanding everything?" they've just disqualified themselves from using questions and should disappear in a puff of paradox. But they don't understand and just continue existing, which are also their only two strategies for life.
