Looking to improve on my usual "run up and chop things" design.
HQ - 225
Chaos Lord
2x Lighting Claw
Blood Forged Armor
Sigil of Corruption
Juggernaut
Troops - 138
Bloodletters x8
Cultist x8
Fast Attack - 694
Heldrake
Raptors x5
2x melta
Plasma Pistol Champion
Gorepack:
2x Chaos Biker x3 w/ 2 melta
2x Flesh Hound x6
Heavy Support - 440
2x Skull Cannon
Soul Grinder
Phlegm Bombardment
Warp Sword
Total: 1497
The idea is for the Skull Cannons to each support a pack of hounds by softening up enemies in cover before the charge, or just hitting nasty targets. Soul Grinder acts as anti-air/another artillery platform. Raptors deep strike melta, bikers run the melta where it needs to go, Heldrake Heldrakes. Cultists for troops/easy BT point, BL to drop somewhere and apply pressure. Lord joins a hound pack. I've run a list like this before with Berzerkers and a Forgefiend instead of a Soul Grinder, and no cannons, so I'm mostly looking for the viability of the skull cannons before I actually get them.

I really like this list. Seems like it will really benefit from summoning more bloodletters as you go.

"Because the Wolves kill cleanly, and we do not. They also kill quickly, and we have never done that, either. They fight, they win, and they stalk back to their ships with their tails held high. If they were ever ordered to destroy another Legion, they would do it by hurling warrior against warrior, seeking to grind their enemies down with the admirable delusions of the 'noble savage'. If we were ever ordered to assault another Legion, we would virus bomb their recruitment worlds; slaughter their serfs and slaves; poison their gene-seed repositories and spend the next dozen decades watching them die slow, humiliating deaths. Night after night, raid after raid, we'd overwhelm stragglers from their fleets and bleach their skulls to hang from our armour, until none remained. But that isn't the quick execution the Emperor needs, is it? The Wolves go for the throat. We go for the eyes. Then the tongue. Then the hands. Then the feet. Then we skin the crippled remains, and offer it up as an example to any still bearing witness. The Wolves were warriors before they became soldiers. We were murderers first, last, and always!" —Jago Sevatarion

I'd lose the warp sword on grinder, you have an iron claw already and 5 attacks on the charge. I'd also lose the Blood forged armour and a LC on your lord and maybe take goredrinker instead. I'd also lose the PP on the raptor champ. Not sure if this adds up but if you drop a dog from each you may be able to squeeze in 3x5 dog packs in your gorepack.

I have tried Goredrinker on the Lord before, when I had a DP as my Warlord with the Blood Forged. It worked pretty well, but I figure there'll be more targeting him with no Prince present. I'll see what happens I guess. Dogs are 16 each, so losing the PP and the Warpsword will definitely give me enough for 3x5 dogs, maybe one or two with 6 depending on what I do as far as the Lord goes. The Warpsword was mainly to keep it from I1, but I guess as long as I keep it in cover that won't be an issue. Thanks.

I am a big fan of dual LC but Gordrinker would probably be better in game. Maybe test out both?
