What is your strategy with this list?

Also, why take the 8 bare marines in a rhino?

Recommend splitting your hounds into 2 units of 5. MSU is really the way to go with Daemonkin imo, both for Blood Tithe and versatility. Even if they stay near each other, a single shooting unit can only kill 5 max as opposed to all 10 in one turn. I'd also be wary of what you do with that Unwieldy Daemon Prince, but that's your call.

I thought daemon princes ignore unwieldy?

Edit: I cannot for the life of me find anything anywhere that supports this claim. Ignore me.

No you're right. Page 174 of the rule book. Under special rules, look right at "Unwieldy". You ignore this if you are vehicle (dreadnought) or a Monstrous Creature.

The strategy is:
The herald goes with the hounds for the loci and for some added killing potential
The cultists die for blood tithe points
The soulgrinder will shoot at any units that are instantly threatening/need to be smaller
Everything that can move 12" attempts to get a turn 2 charge
The 8 marines are sort of for objectives, they have good survivability and I didn't have enough points for bezerkers
Thanks for the replies guys!

Edit:I use the hounds in one unit to get the most from the loci but I'll try in two units for my next game, I see where you're coming from with it

Oh wow, there it is. Someone had told me yesterday walkers ignore unwieldy, but I couldn't for the life of me find where it was. I was looking at the Walker entries, because that's the part where it says they can shoot Overwatch. Ignore what I said, then, Goredrinkers for everyone!

That also explains why the D-Thirster has "colossal" instead of straight unwieldy.

The soul grinder wants to get in CC. he loves it, he needs it. So drop the phlegm for the baleful torrent. Phlegm is best on Nurgle, the S8 ap3 blast dose nothing to tanks and no SM player is going to let you use it on a unit that’s not in cover. The baleful torrent will save you 10 points, is aggressive, ideal for killing swarms and hordes pulse over watch.

Term-a-cide. If there is ever a good use, your it. Swop out for some combi-metlas or plasmas.

I see where you're coming from, but i often have a hard time getting it into combat with only a 6" movement. I also find that phlegm provides some long range shooting that i desperately need.
