In 3rd edition I once played against a Dark Eldar player. I'd never faced DE before so I was having a rough time. About halfway through the game a squad of his Warriors charged the lone remaining Sergeant of a Tactical Squad. He had only his trusty chainsword and bolt pistol. All their attacks whiffed, he killed a single Warrior, the Warrior squad failed their morale check and the Sergeant ended up sweeping them off the table as the DE squad fell back into a Crossfire zone.

I gave that sergeant a racing stripe on his Corvus helmet and I still use the model (well, the head, torso, and legs) to this day. Nowadays he runs around with a combi-grav, a Terminator Honors pauldron, and a Deathwatch pauldron. He's seen some gak.

I really love it when people 'Forge the Narrative' in a way by promoting their miniatures based on how well they do in a game. It makes the game really fun.

It's absolutely my favorite part of the hobby. Almost all of my character models have a lot of story behind them, and I recently started compiling it all into an Index Astartes article to give my dudes some background material.

Ahhhh.... I love it. Hence why I love campaigns so much. It's what attaches me to 40k so much.

Once had a Tetra penetrate and explode a Necron Flyer with its twin-linked Pulse Rifle as a desperation shot.

This same Tetra has also exploded Rhinos and blown the turrets off Predators

A single KDK Bezerker killed a maxed out Kroot squad (20 Kroot, 10 Hounds, 3 Krootoxen) by sweeping them.

The worst part was that Kroot charged yet still did nothing...

A Dooms Sytche with the old Beam shot. Hits warhound and a Reaver titan. Strips a few HPs off the Reaver but with the Beam and the Telsa it kills the Warhound. The warhound blows up but scatters onto reaver it taking a STR D hit then blows up from that.

Big Mek with a SAG fired at an Eldar Wraith Knight. scattered a bit and hit the WK and a squad of Scat Bikes....and then I rolled boxcars and Insta killed the lot player quit afterwards and said my Ork Big Mek was OP and Cheese. I had to laugh at him
