What size bases would you guys use for space marine scouts, now? Does anyone have a "new box" scout, or do they even exist?

They are not in power armor and are not physically that bulky. But I've posed some on 32mm, and damn, they look nice.

I am waffling between (a) painting new scouts on 25mm bases, (b) painting new scouts on 32mm bases, and (c) just keeping my old scouts, which were not bad. As a purist, though, I'm doing everything else fresh, and my thought is "why not do the scouts too". Plus, I have like, 5 boxes worth of scouts and sniper scouts desprued waiting for the brush

Keep in mind, I'm talking about 30+ scouts that I'll be making, so "just rebase it if you don't like it" isn't really where I want to be :X

I don't think a new box of scouts has come out. The regular 28mm base works just fine for them. They fit perfectly on it.

Use the base they came with.
Since their armour is smaller than full powered armour, they're nearly as small as a guardsman. they're supposed to be able to get places a Space Marine cannot.
So, 28mm, until they get an upgrade later on.

I'd lean towards 28mm, even if just to make it a little more visually distinct from the power armour guys. Makes a nice progression too; Scout (28mm) -> Marine (32mm) -> Termie (40mm).

Although they would look nice on 32mm, I'd prefer 28mm to squeeze 'em into a building or ruins or something like that.

28mm is what I would use for them.

Talys - I put mine on 32mm - look too good to not use.

I probably should start another thread but since this is about bases and this thread is active I'll ask here.
I have a GW basing kit. Amongst the stuff I got for basing was these bigger pieces that appear to be bases themselves. Slightly bigger radii but pretty much the same size as the plastic little discs that come with the models. Anyone else have one of these basing kits and do you glue those bigger parts onto the plastic bases or just simply use them alone as bases? I don't want to get nailed with modeling for advantage but I also don't want the more expensive details pieces absorbing all the wear and tear. I want to use them for squad leaders and ICs. Consider looking into the same ones, Talys, they are very detailed.

whoops, my mistake on the measurement. But definitely go the small base, they fit perfectly.

Yeah, I already have 20 scouts from back when they were released, and they look good on 25mm. But these ones will be better, and I wasn't sure if people had started doing 32mm on them.
