Okay so I'm looking for some help creating a relatively competitive list for a Nurgle Chaos Space Marine army! I know I will be taking a knight crusader as an ally. My big question here is should I take typhus as an hq?

At 2500 points he doesnt take such a bite out of your points. His ups include, a level 2 psyk that gets to take everything from Nurgle, beast in close combat, 4 wounds, t5, can bring plague marines as troops, ZOMBIES!!!!!!!!. He also has a lot of down side. He is a lvl 2 psyk that has to take from nurgle, is only good in close combat, hh has the same toughness as a 23 point Plague Marine.

i have him and I run him every so ofton. Some times I feel like having fun and run my own green tide of Typhus and 105 ZOMBIES!!!!!!!!

I like him in a LR with 4 Termies. He is able to get up close fast and assualt as he should be. The problem with that is that that just became a nearly 700 point unit. I put a cjain fist and some lightning claws in there to make sure I am able to pop a tank or PA if needed.

I guess it would depend on the rest of the list what are you think so far?

Well I've heard good things about nurgle lords on bikes! The knight crusader will be putting a lot of anti tank out. Probably gonna bring 2 hades heldrake and 2 maulerfiends for tank popping. How does that sound?

Hades Helldrakes are decent at tank popping, but the Maulerfiends are amazing. Running two of them is always a good idea, as a solo Fiend will be dropped super quick to massed Str. 6 or higher fire.

I suppose at 2500 you'll be seeing a fair amount of big, nasty armor units and other high toughness targets. I would personally go with a bunch of 7 man Plague Marine squads with X2 Melta or Plasma in Rhinos. Drive around the board doing drive-bys and being confident enough to disembark and take some punishment. Plus, 4+ poisoned CC attacks are nothing to mess around with for enemy Wraithknights and such.

I've personally never ran Typhus myself, but seen his Zombies be pretty effective. You lose any ranged attacks vs. cultists, but make up for it in gaining Fearless and FnP.

Also, Nurgle Bike lords with Nurgle Bikers is awesome. T6 majority toughness and throw a LC and PF on the lord. Very survivable and very hurty in melee.

It becomes a 6+ against GMC though

Dang, that's right. Forgot for a moment about the GMC change... Well there's always Dreadknights and Riptides!
