One for my Eldar, the other converted as a WHFB chaos lord, with a giant axe replacing the silent death. Of course, back when I picked her up, big ’80s hair was more in style.

Jain Zar, Phoenix Lord of the Howling Banshees aspect warriors. I don't actually think she's too bad. She's aged well but the Phoenix Lords models as a whole could do with an overhaul. Except maybe Maugan Ra. That is such a fantastic sculpt.

And not just a few either, lots of them. Fits the fluff of the race very well.

I REALLY don't agree with you on the Flesh Hounds.. particularly with this badass sculpt that comes with the Age of Sigmar box set:

I have this model. It is fething horrid. I converted him with a helmet but then I realised I'd be better off tearing him up for spare parts.

See the star he is standing on? It is poorly designed and won't stand straight on the base. Lots of filing needed.

His pose is incredibly static, basically standing straight, despite zooming through the air.

His claws are WAY too large. It looks much worse in person. It's like a pair of claws with a little guy attached.

He is failcast which exaggerates the sheer precariousness and extreme fragility of the model.

The model is also just generally goofy overall.

I agree with everything stated besides this. I like pretty over-the-top weapons on my Space Marines though.

I agree; why don't you like those models? I wish I had Skulltaker for my Daemonkin, even though I wouldn't use him much other than in casual games. The hounds aren't too bad, although the older ones were better. Main thing wrong with the hounds is the price tag, which makes using Chaos Warhounds as flesh hounds a better option (four times as many models for almost the same price when you buy 2 boxes...)

Skulltaker because of the ridiculous cape of skulls.

Flesh Hounds because they just don't look vicious at all and that includes Karanak.

Grizzlemaw (Age of Sigmar) is a fantastic example of how to do Flesh Hounds right.

I can also see why the old Archon never took his helmet off. His head looks like someone drew a face on an almond.

*That* IG lieutenant from 2nd edition. Along with another few other dodgey IG models from 2nd & 3rd this has to be my least favourite. Also never understood why GW stopped making two of their most popular metal models, the really old stormtroopers with berets and the praetorians.

Does anyone else also remember these? The chassis reminds me of a robin reliant.... mind you, it is the product of it's time
