Phasma suffered from the bad writing. It felt like Abrams wanted too much and couldn't focus. He added a lot of different elements and sadly, while also being interesting, this resulted in some character arcs being rushed (Rey and Finn) and some not having been shown nearly enough attention (Phasma). Isn't Phasma's actor the ugly woman from GoT?

Under the mask you couldn't tell. God somehow I just know there may be a skit with this. A guy wanting to get hot and heavy with her and then being like "Take your mask off. Oh dear god keep it on!"

Yeah, she's absolutely hideous...

Spoiler:

She is, also, like, a person. And an actress and a professional, but hey... Only her appearance matters.

The woman in the center? Are you guys kidding? I mean she's probably not massively attractive (like the least attractive of all the attractive women in that picture) but she's still decent. I'd still take her to pound town if the option was there.

Well keep in mind Hollywood hates ugly people and women over 30 or maybe 40.

She's also wearing the most revealing outfit of all the women while they're all covered up. Her expression is also not off into blank nowhere with emotions that'd make the main female lead from 'Twilight' look emotional (as compared to the other girls in the picture).

Let's put it this way I have seen ugly. It is not pretty women that cry about how ugly they are in real life or online. Even somewhat overweight women that could potentially look ok if they lost all that weight are not so good but still redeemable (morbidly obese is still way gross). I have seen women that no matter how much makeup they put on they'd break a mirror by looking into it.

Let's just say if Captain Phasma wanted to get hot and heavy let's hope she doesn't have asthma.

----

Umm perhaps I should get back on topic. Lol we need more decent female baddies. That is all .

Yeah, it's obviously sexist to talk about a woman's attractiveness. My SJW alert tingles!

I just hope that she doesn't turn out to be another deserter...aka suddenly turning to the Republic. We already had that poorly develope story with Finn...

I was trying to deflect it but people didn't realise and I apparently got Poe's law-ed.

Anyhow, one thing that I was going to mention was that one thing they got right was the humour. I was watching ESB the other night and the humour fits in perfectly with Episode VII.

Especially notable with the differences with the prequels.

Yes, the humor felt really just right and was well done. Not too subtle, not too dominant, no goddarn useless, annoying and movie-ruining slapstick "character".

One would still have expected her to not respond to the threat of a quick death when she's forced to lower the shields - she's supposed to be a badass fanatic, and she knows FN-2187 has problems shooting defenseless people. Why does a Stormtrooper officer even have the clearance to handle the planetary shield btw?

Doesn't force sensitivity sometimes manifest in an innate ability to understand languages? Pretty sure I read that somewhere, might've been in Knights of the Old Republic, though.

No. Your character in Knights of the Old Republic just knows a huge array of languages despite your amnesia. I'm sure there are some force powers that deal with languages, but its not a normal automatic thing.

Gwendoline Christie is stunning IRL. That photo at the top there doesn't do her justice IMO.

@SC Edithae- She's definitely there on Jakku at the start.

Also Sig: Marks out of 10 for attractiveness... Really?! You must be very popular with the ladies over there. You might wanna rethink your attitude towards women PDQ..

Yes, because attractiveness can be objectively measured and is, in no way, related to subjective impressions! I'M TOTALLY BUFF BRAH DO YU EVEN LIFT!!!

He was okay. It might have been a first...subtle...hint at Darth Vader, one of many allusions to the old trilogy. For the love of god, I would have happily accepted a voice that is hard to understand if only he kept the mask on...

I agree, ugly. Especially when you see her face side on. She also looks about 40, maybe she was ok when she was younger?

Ultimately it depends on your preferences. If we all found the same people attractive then there would be a lot of unmarried women out there.

Personally, I think she shouldn't make the same mistake as Kylo and keep her mask on.

If we want to make this thread go there, fine.

First: short hair. Extremely unattractive. Her proportions are strange which might be related to her above-average size. Very "manly" face without makeup. With full makeup, she'd get a 3, maybe even 4. Have you read the GoT books? I don't think so.

What on Earth do the books have to do with Gwendoline Christie?

In the books, Barristan and Stannis are still alive, Kevan Lannister is already dead, the Mountain is two feet taller and mama Stark becomes undead.

They're not the same thing.

You are the only one who can say what is attractive to you and not, but how is Gwendoline's attractiveness relevant to begin with in this subject? You didn't comment on whether Han or Finn looked good or not. Is that not just as relevant?

It was fairly classless to call her the ugly person in the comment when it would have been just as easy to have mentioned her by her character in GoT.
To claim to be some kind of body builder as justification for it makes it strange.

2 out of 10?! You're joking right?! I've seen girls I'd rate a 2 out of 10 in looks. My last couple of drivers that take me to work for instance are about that rating with one being so fat the car actually shifted weight when she got in and being so obscenely overweight (guessing 400-500 pounds so figure about 200 kilograms for non-USA people) and often talked about getting a flat tire in some of her cars (considering the car was never level when she drove due to her weight I'm guessing the tires popped on the driver side). Also super fat woman constantly smelled of body odor and that's something nobody ever wants to smell on anybody but esp. not women. The other woman has a face only a mother could love esp. without makeup on. Also they were terrible at their jobs and would often fall asleep on the couch when they were supposed to oversee me cleaning my house/apartment.

This woman I would decisively bang if she wanted to.

That said as far as looks go I often go for pretty, curvy women with erm 'features' (top heavy ;P). Those women are out of my league obviously. If we were to talk about attractive middle aged actors I'd say the Merovingian's wife in 'the matrix' movies. Dear lord I'd tap that till it broke but even at her age she is so ridiculously beyond me it could only happen in my dreams.

Now, now. We all know Poe is the attractive new male cast member. Also as weird as it is I fully support the fan fics coming up between Poe and Finn. Come on you know it makes infinitely more sense than Finn and Rey.

Lots of people commented on Kylos attractiveness if you read the thread. I believe words like pouty lips and wavey angst hair are used etc.

ultimately if someone doesn't like someones face, there isn't much you can do to convince them otherwise.
