Well for me I missed two OPs last weekend due to family events. I don't think my next is until closer to the end of the month. I did have a friend over for some casual games the other day, so I will have a few batreps for you guys once I get them typed up. Apart from that I am eagerly waiting the 1st preview of wave 18, personally I hope it's Quark's Treasure.

We have the week off, we're going to order a ship each and have a match at the weekend. Also managed to 'acquire' some faruta warbirds to replace the WKs ones, bringing the size of the D'D up to the same wingspan and considerably more bulky than the Valdore, which suits me fine.

Still recovering from GenCon. My main FLGS has a new person taking over our events who's very eager to grow our group. We used to have 12 people show up, but the last Q OP3 event only had 4.

Awaiting an order from Miniature Market for the rest of my retail Klingons.

The Attack Wing campaign is about to get very bloody, with 3 separate 200 vs 200 (or 1 200 vs 200 and a 400 vs 400) point battles to be fought, along with two smaller battles. I will take pictures and post up battle reports afterwards.

Side note, does anyone have a way to get additional V'Orchas without buying the starter sets?

Well I had a Q month 1 this weekend, which I won. Fighters for the win in that one, onto planning for month 2.

In other news finally got hold of a retail DS9. The model needs some work, the inner docking ring doesn't seem to have been glued together correctly as there is a gap on one side. Also there's a couple of scraps on the command area where it was obviously cut off of a sprue. The paint job on the retail version isn't great either, so I may re-do the whole thing.

But Quark came in handy at the weekend, I should image I'll use him in nearly all my OP builds from now on.

it's the quiet ones you have to look out for. Their the ones that change the world, the loud ones just take the credit for it.

we also have shrunk since the beginning and resently lost 2 more. There has been some serious hate at the direction Wizkids is taking the game. We offered to be faction pure; which most of us do anyway except the borg guy, but it didn't help.

the two most problematic fleets we've been seeing are:

Borg (dual faction ships) + fighter squad(s)

2 fighter squadrons and 2 medium (hull 4) ships with good captians and a decient secondary weapon or tech

The regular Borg players I face haven't been showing up. Romulans and Feds are the most popular factions in our group. I am fortunate to have a fairly casual/competitive group who don't bring power lists all the time. I was encouraged by the amount of people I met and played with at Gencon. It reengerized my desire to play again after switching to other games for awhile.

Heading over to the west side of Washington State this weekend and hope to pick up the latest wave of ships (Thunderchild mostly). Maybe play a game or two as well.

I'm going to miss out on Q OP 2 and 3 this weekend in my home town. Or actually I think I'm gonna be missing out on Q OP 2 and a D&D Attack Wing OP.

I am trying desperately to find a new venue for my tournament play. I got pretty good, and had started winning, but with the inconsistencies in rules at my main place and the TO allowing rules to change so his friends win... I had to say farewell. I ended up taking three other guys with me too, so the game may die off there.
