Hey guys!

I am in the process of finishing up my first major undertaking and "conversion", a nurgle themed rhino. I have it to a point where I would call it "playable" and am not sure if I want to try to add more to it or just put some small finishing touches on it and wrap it up. I am newer to conversion work and green stuff in general so any suggestions or criticism would be appreciated.

I will include some pictures I have taken so far, but I also made a video where I rotate the rhino around and point out some of the key features if that sounds interesting to you. It is about 5 minutes long and you can watch it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ka0wYH7xlDs

Thank you in advance for taking a look at my work!

I think some dark brown ink in the recesses would help the detail to 'pop' more, but otherwise this is pretty cool - nice use of old and new bits.

Good idea! I think that would definitely help to define some lines in the rhino. It kind of blends together a little too much in some areas.

very cool. the only suggestions i have, are maybe have some rust/grime/slime or something dripping down from the shell holes in the side, maybe a tentacle coming from the vent hole. other than that, hit it with a matt varnish, then use a water effect or brush on gloss varnish on certain parts to really emphasize the slimyness of it.

A couple points; But overall would just like to say how much I love it, the face in the side door looks awesome, looks like its in total agony!

The mouth arm coming out of the roof looks like the teeth could do with a brown wash. to highlight the gaps in the teeth. I would suggest agrax earthshade, followed by a very small red wash between the lips and base of the teeth (its a trick I have found that really makes mouths look fleshy without much hassle).

I also second the idea of some more browns in the deeper recesses of your nurle rot/flesh work. You want to frame all those pustules and make them stand out. Another colour that would work well would be a purple. Heres what I mean;

Spoiler:

So as you can see, purple and fleshy reds in crevasses works really well. Now Im not saying I don't like what you've already done, but I really think with a little wash work you could achieve a really fantastic and varied colour palette within the flesh work. Perhaps a good place to start would the mouth of the face on the side door. Do a light wash with a red/purple/pinky flesh tone and see what you think.

Thank you guys! Some more really great ideas that I would have never thought of. The purple and red wash sounds scary but I really do need to break the colors up a bit.

I will have to set aside some time to make some of these adjustments and I will definitely update this thread with pictures when I do so!
