new to x-wing was just wondering if the below list would be any good for a friendly tournament and open to any ideas on changes and how to play it thanks.
Marksmanship is the greatest beginner trap, one which I fell into myself.
All it does over a standard focus action is provide one crit instead of a standard hit, and lacks all defensive utility.
Given that crits don't even differentiate from hits until the target has no shields it is of less use than it initially appears.
Then you factor in that it is one of the most expensive EPTs in the game, and it suddenly loses a lot of appeal.
You're probably better off dropping that and upgrading the Firespray to Krassis For his reroll on the cannon, and remember to do this after you've turned any crits to hits to satisfy the HLC, because once you've done it, should you roll a crit, that crit stands.

If you don't have Recon Specialist (it comes with the HWK-290 and TIE Phantom) then you can switch back to Mercenary Copilot, though his usefulness is somewhat limited. Drop the named TIEs and Seismic Charges and you have enough points to add an Academy Pilot, giving you a mini swarm of four TIEs anchored by Howlrunner.

Thanks for quick reply's i think Krassis is the way to go i do have recon specialist i am just un sure as to how it works i thought you could only use one type of action in a round and can not build up actions but i am new to this so please enlighten me thanks.

When you perform the focus action, you are assigned an extra focus token. The keyword here is "assigned"; if your ship is not stressed, you can only perform each action (focus, target lock, boost, etc.) once per round, but there is no limit to the amount of tokens you can be assigned (which is how Recon Specialist works). Page 5 of the FAQ clarifies the difference between performing an action and being assigned a token:
Assigning a Token to Your Ship When an ability instructs you to assign a token to your ship, this is different than performing a free action that provides the same token. For example, Kyle Katarn’s ability allows you to “assign 1 of your focus tokens to another friendly ship at Range 1–3”. A ship that has a focus token assigned to it can still perform a focus action during that round.

You must keep the TIEs in formation, both defensive and offensive purposes.; a naked TIE fighter alone is as good as dead. The box formation is a pretty standard way to fly four TIE fighters, making sure to keep Howlrunner in the back of the formation and at range 3 when possible (since her ability a grants her wingmen a weaker target lock, she will be the primary target). This allows you to concentrate fire with all four of you TIEs with the benefit of Howlrunner's pilot ability.
For Krassis, keeping him back and taking potshots with Heavy Laser Cannon is where he can be the most effective. Remember, the defender does not get the range bonus when you attack them with a secondary weapon which makes HLC very powerful at range 3.

Oh, somewhere in this favored land the sun is shining bright;
the band is playing somewhere and somewhere hearts are light,and somewhere men are laughing, and somewhere children shout but there is no joy in Mudville — mighty Casey has struck out.
I'm glad I could be of help and good luck on your tourney!
