Has anyone tried the new Magic the Gathering board game?

I had received this on my birthday, not knowing that this even existed. We played several rounds of this and found it quiet enjoyable. It seems to play like the old Heroclix.

I wanted to see everyone's opinion on it. I think it would be great if they bring on the expansions to keep it from becoming the same thing over and over.

As someone who put over 1000 bucks into heroscape, Im glad to see it return in this form! The game plays fast and is very fun, played about 8 games so far. First expansion is due in January and it contains over 20 new figures and a boss scenario that you can team up and fight against. I wish they went the heroscape route and did waves of expansions, but Ill take what I can get at this point!

If you're in the Midwest, it's being clearance-sold at 17$ per box set in Kroger's. The store near me had like 6 of them. I was considering buying them all because the terrain bits are so Heroscapey and magnificent.

Firestorm Armada is the new black.

I thought the terrain in the box was pretty gakky compared to what heroscape used to be....

It was the only part of the production I was really left feeling flat about.

It is light on terrain, but I love the mats for it, saves a hell of a lot of time.
