I hope you can unplug the other marine, I don't see an obvious separation though.

Would look silly while playing.

There'll be a 40mm gaming base hidden in there somewhere, all the others have that.

During his escape from Istvaan - you can take him for cheaper points wise without his jump pack and with a heavy bolter instead of his other weapons to represent his 100 day escape from the drop site massacre.

The HB just replaces his Archaeotech pistols. He still has the claws and whip during the run-hit-run phase of the Dropsite Massacre.

I do like the ruins a lot more than I like Perturabo's gigantic wreck of a base. From the way his foot is angled/placed, it looks like he's just landed and done a sort of impact thing.

I finished painting the Perturabo base yesterday ... this Corax one will only take a quarter of the time I guess

It could definitely still be Alpharius - you know what he's like.

The top piece of the jigsaw will be removed and everyone will be wondering why Corax is bald.

Then when the middle bits go it will turn out that Alpharius was just holding the pinions up like a cheerleader's pom-poms to troll everybody.

Also the MK3 marine that looks like he's been hit will actually turn out to be Omegon doing a backflip. The set will come with a spare, identical bald head to make this more obvious.

I think It would be a most excellent way to release Alpharius if they don't show him ahead of time, but randomly pick 20 orders for primarchs and instead of shipping the order the person places send them an Alpharius, followed the next day by their order and a note saying you've been infiltrated , keep the Alpharius, or Omegon will find you.

He looks too small to me. Pretty sure my Lorgar is bigger. I shall reserve that call until I see the entire model though.

That said, good pose. Hope he's claw + whip.

I think even after we have the complete photo, it'll be hard to judge his size. The perspective makes it hard to judge; that dead marine seems to be on the front edge of the base and Corax is standing on the back.

Warhammer App says there's a new Horus Heresy release on Christmas Day

It's from Black Library, so most likely a book or audiobook? But who knows. And obviously, even given that it's a BL release... whozzit about!!

Aww, I almost hoped he would have wind-defying super-hair to keep his hairdo rather than get Fulgrim hair.

Yeah. I love everything except the head, which I have the same problems I have with Fulgrims head too. I was expecting his hair to be down which doesn't make sense with the pose but I'm a bit dissapointed with anyway. But I love the rest of the model.

I don't care for the hair, but it is fitting given that he is putting a crater into the rocks he is landing on. I wonder if he will have options for the whip and the lightning claw.

He already has both lighting claws; the one on the gun hand is retracted. You might be able to build it extended.

I think that might be the handle of his whip sticking out off of his back. if that;s the case, it looks like it won't be easy to model it in use.

Yeah, I was kind of figuring that. I thought they had actually depicted him with the handle in his hand, but it is actually a bolt pistol (you know, the weapon he is best known for using...).

I kind of figured, that shouldn't be hard enough to do. FYI, I don't play RG, nor will I start an RG legion (I really love my Imperial Fists), but I was really hoping that the miniature would be near perfect for those people that do. I need to get Alexis Polux. I love that miniature.

It's an Archaotech pistol that he does have in the rules. A whip would be hard to do in resin without breaking, they might include one though, we'll have to see.

I do/will play RG, and it is near perfect for me. Just the hair! Hopefully it grows on me.

I think this is one of the better primarchs. Very dynamic, captures re-entry to battle very well. I would love that second claw to be extendable when building. They've nailed the pinions.

Oh, I see. Thanks for clearing that up. In that case, the pistol is fine. I didn't have the book handy so I couldn't recall his pistol being at all special. The whip definitely would be hard to do, but then they should have just had both claws extended.

Part of the problem is that Corax always is shown with his hair falling onto his shoulders (and rocking bangs), but here it is all up in the air. I get that it supposed to be flying upward due to the speed he is hitting the ground, but it is jarring to see his hair different than all other appearances.

Hopefully we get Dorn next.

Yeah. I was expecting his hair down (my own fault really with the pose) so it was a bit dissapointing. I need to see it close up and painted. I still think he'll be my first Primarch purchase.

Sanguinius will be for me. Or maybe Dorn. If I start a 30K army, it is probably going to be Imperial Fists, but I still want Sanguinius because I love Blood Angels.
