There are plenty of reasons to go to one of our great events like Warhammer Fest; the seminars; hobby demonstrations; fun activities; and, of course, exclusive models.

I’ve just got hold of the event exclusive model that’ll be released at Warhammer Fest, and it’s stunning! Take a look…

In Cataphractii Terminator Armour, and wielding a Thunder Hammer and what looks very much like a combi-volkite weapon, this model is going to make an imposing and characterful commander in a lot of armies soon!

You’ll be able to get hold of him for the first time at Warhammer Fest, so get your tickets now!

So, he'll likely be available from any events here in the US where Forge World shows up?

Well, the painted example is a Sons of Horus marine, but it would work well as a blackshield.

I'm really impressed with this. Might even pay ebay prices unless I can get someone to pick me one up who's attending the event.

I'm thinking I'm going to be getting someone to pick him up for me, and hold him in reserve in case I ever want to start an Iron Hands army.

Oh, I saw the damage and the image on the left pauldron shield looked like something had been scratched off.

Is it supposed to be Little Horus?

Yes he had a sword, it got broke in some battle and then Horus personally reforged it for him.

Yes. I've seen Forge World sell their event only models at their booths at both GenCon and AdeptiCon Too bad this missed AdeptiCon by a month.

Pretty model. I need more unpainted gak laying around!

I think under $30 if you're lucky enough to be able to get one at an event. The last event only I was able to get my hands on was the 2011 boarding marine and I easily paid double. :(

Aye same here, it's a Terminator that looks marginally different to other Terminators, welcome to Snorefest 2016.

Oh well, at least this'll be one year where I don't feel left out because I can't go to events.

I need to acquire plastic Skavenslaves, can you help?
I have a blog now, evidently. Featuring the Alternative Mordheim Model Megalist.

Little Horus wore power armour, not terminator armour. I doubt it's a named character though - they might make a character for him like they did with the AL and IW marines last time though. Alternatively he looks like he'd make a badass Falkus Kibre (although he'd be in the black and red Justaerin armour).

The combi-volkite is pretty cool and I like the introduction of armour mounted cameras/sensors a la Indomitus pattern armourw, but otherwise it's a giant meh from me.

I say that as part of the seemingly tiny minority that's not particularly wowed by Cataphracti pattern armour, though. Plus Unhelemted heads are always stupid unless you're on the parade ground.

I don't think its bad, but this and the previous limited edition miniature feel less purpose made than a lot of the stuff FW did before... This feels like he was an alternate sculpt that simply lost out to the Praetor sold on the website, that they grabbed because they needed something.

It's a little annoying that the cheeky sods release this the week after Salute. Previously, they've been "event exclusives", available at every show Forge World attend, now this one's Warhammerfest-only.

"Warhammer World exclusive" and "WarhammerFest only" are a pretty big middle finger to customers outside the UK.

Actually, my mistake; it says "event only, available first at Warhammer Fest". It's just that previously the event-only models have also been available at Salute and Adepticon first.

I think they've said it'll run until the next warhammerfest so it'll be at Adepticon and salute and all that next time.

Last few years there's been at least one that wasn't available at Salute.

He does look pretty cool. I particularly like the sensor gear on his collar, and the Thunderhammer. I agree that he looks more like a Siege Master than a Praetor though. All that gear could easily be a Cognis Signum.

Or those of us north of Manchester. I live in the Highlands and it'd take me more time to drive the round trip to Warhammerfest than it would most people to fly there, pick a model up and fly home again.

Bring back the Scottish events!

Yeah it would take me 6 hours and about £100 to get there on the train.
