They tote salvo weapons though, so unless they're in a good spot their range is slashed and their output will suffer somewhat. Though it should be said that the spamming of attacks is in most cases more desirable than having one or two that really pack a punch. Not being able to overwatch at BS2 can also hurt!

Though this is all personal preference for me, I much prefer the vanilla Volkite Chargers, as you can pump out twenty shots at a delicious S5, with maybe two or three extra wounds on top depending on what you shoot at, then still charge in with three attacks per scrub and four for the Prime.

More marines :| At first I was like "if it's 20 torsos, 20 heads, 40 shoulder pads and 20 mk4 bodies - I'm collecting marines now". But since it's just 5 torsos, 10 heads and 20 pads just to add the Legion flavor... I'll just keep on waiting

Couldn't help but notice that forgeworld is selling the Ta'unar Supremacy Cadre (a bundle of 2 supremacy suits). You don't suppose they are actually thinking of making this an actual formation in the fire of Cyraxis do you? I'd feel really guilty running a supremacy suit version of the riptide wing.

Well, in US dollar wise, it's $37 more then buying 2 Tac Marine squads from GW. That really doesn't seem that bad to me, given the specific legion flair to it.

1. FW has done a much better job of portraying SW than GW. I don't hate FW 's version.

2. The Tac squads aren't that bad as mentioned above. Only $37 for all the legion bits for 20 marines. Okay. I mean isn't part of the schtick of 30k is that it's for the 1%ers?

Min is 10 man, could still be 90 for two troop choices.

It's not like we're collecting Bugatti Veyrons.

Part of the fun of 30k is the converting of the forces to fit 30k. It used to be all converting all the time, Forge World just makes it easier to do a "proper" 30k force, if more expensive. I've seen many 30k armies beautifully converted with little to no Fprge World. Just as I've seen beautiful armies built on all Forge World.

I will be ordering at least two of those Space Wolves transfer sheets to finally get my VI Legion off the ground. Now if they'd just make some helmets for them!

i checked the site and see thyy have two squads at 60 pounds for 20 mk 4 guys. That leaves 30 for the resin stuff. Or for 44 pounds you can upgrade 10 guys.

The fact that squad uprade kit is £44 is just insane. The plastic mk4 tac squad costs themselves arent tooo bad. (but are still abit nuts) but the upgrade kits are way too expensive for the content. Also correct me if ive read ir wrong but you dont even get a full upgrade kit in the tac squad bundle?

You are correct.

20 shoulder pads, 10 heads, 5 torso's. 20 Mark 4 Bodies.

So that does seem to lower the value a bit in my eyes.

So are the tac squad bundles anything to do with BaC possibly coming to the end of its life? Or are FW just taking advantage of the separate boxes being released? On a related note Cataphractii pads for the rest of the legions would be really welcome.

These are the descriptions for some symbols

I'm so getting those Wolf transfers. Not sure if I'll do more than a squad or two of 30k wolves, but those celtic-themed squad arrows, etc are definitely going on my 40k Wolves - either instead of or in addition to the standard Grey Hunter etc symbols.
