D str p. 163 to determine whether a D str weapon causes instant death assume it has str 10.

If your below a 6 tou then the D str hit will have the instant death rule and you only reduce wounds by 1 for eternal warrior. If you are above 6 then it isn't an instant hit and you would lose the normal d3.
If you are EW do you also get FNP against the D hit if you Are FE t4?

1) 2-5 causes D3 wounds, 6 causes 6+D6 wounds. One of these wounds will cause instant death to anything under T6, unless they have Eternal Warrior. In which case they still suffer the wound roll.

2. EW does not allow you to take FNP against any attack with instant death, and I'm fairly sure Destroyer has a clause that prevents FNP from being taken against it period.

Reanimation Protocols can also not be used against Destroyer.

Eternal Warrior does not remove the Instant Death special rule from the wound being inflicted; it simply changes the effect of said wound.

Feel No Pain cannot be taken against wounds which have the Instant Death special rule, but it does not care whether the normal effect of Instant Death is inflicted or not.

EW is very specific in that it counters ID.
EW does nothing against the D3 or 6+D6 wounds the D weapon provides.
The FNP special rule itself explicitly excludes wounds caused by D weapons.

Also, FnP still can't be used by an Eternal Warrior against any Instant Death attack, no matter the source.

Str 3 Huskblades are Instant Death. If you're T10 and Eternal Warrior, you still can't FNP it.

Likewise, if you're T4 and Eternal Warrior, you can't FNP any S8 hit.

Instant Death is an attribute that gets applied to a wound. FNP can't be used against those wounds. Being an Eternal Warrior has no bearing on that.

"'players must agree how they are going to select their armies, and if any restrictions apply to the number and type of models they can use."

This is an actual rule in the actual rulebook. Quit whining about how you can imagine someone's army touching you in a bad place and play by the actual rules.

It counters just one aspect of Instant Death, not all of it. EW just says instead of losing all Wounds to Instant Death, you only lose one.

Neither ruins 40K if you're willing to adapt and evolve with the game. If you're not, then keep playing 6.5E with your buddies and D will never affect you.
