I want to join a small points tournament at my local store. Planning to run Necron which I had no experiences instead my usual army - Space Marine.
According to my experience last year and observation, I expected to meet mostly SM variants, while there may be CSM, Daemon, Eldar and maybe Tau.
I now preliminary had 3 lists in mind. Hoping to get some ideas from the forum

List 1: Gunline, using warrior block buffed by Illuminor, GA and Stalker. Move onwards until rapid fire range. Two Stalkers hopefully could help the gunline to gun down some MC or tanks faster. While lychguard as counter assualt force if something nasty shrugged off the fire and get into combat..
Spoiler:

CAD (1000pts)
HQ
Illuminor Szeras (110pts)

Troops (495pts)
Warrior (235pts)
10 men, Ghost Ark

Warrior (260pts)
20 men

Elite (395pts)
Triarch Stalker (135pts)
Heavy Gauss Cannon

Triarch Stalker (135pts)
Heavy Gauss Cannon

Lychguard (125pts)

List 2 mini Wraith wing. Bringing the OP wraiths. Hopefully they can take down most things not a WK. But outside that. I only have a stalker to shoot down Tanks and MC without the need to roll a 6.
Spoiler:

Necron list 1000pts

CAD (740pts)
HQ
Illuminor (110pts)

Troops (495pts)
Warrior (235pts)
10 men, Ghost Ark

Warrior (260pts)
20 men

Triarch Stalker (135pts)
Heavy Gauss Cannon

Canoptek Harvest (256pts)
Wraiths (136pts)
2 whip coil, 1 trandimensional beamer

Spider (60pts)
Gloom Prism

Scarab (60pts)

List 3 Void Reaper Destroyers, in case I might run into combat with a Eldar WK in tournament, I arm the Dlord with a fleshbane AP2 weapon. I know it is phrased high, it looks quite low model count. Every lost of Destroyer hurts, and actually one squad of 5 Scatbike can kill one Destroyer from one squad from 36 inch away then assualt move out of range.
Spoiler:

Necron list 1000pts

Destroyer Cult (675pts)
Destroyer Lord (165pts)
Void Reaper, phase shifter

Destroyer (120pts)
Destroyer (120pts)
Destroyer (120pts)
Heavy Destroyer (150pts)

CAD
HQ
Cryptek (65pts)

Troops
Warrior (130pts)

Warrior (130pts)

All kinds of ideas and comments are welcome. Thanks in advances

I'd say the destroyer cult list has the most versatility. The destroyers are fast enough to grab objectives while the warrior blocks hold the middle. Your major weakness will be melee though. Those warrior blocks aren't fearless and can get swept easily by a melee unit.

To shore up this weakness and to make your army as killy as possible, you could run a cult and harvest together.

It might even be worth it to just run the Destroyer Cult by itself for a 1000 list.

Working on it

I would run a regular decurion and use a vanilla OL if your going small points

<Dynasty> ~10500pts
War Coven of the Coruscating Gaze ~3000pts
Thrice-Damned Plague Corps ~3250pts
Admech (TBN) ~3500pts +30k Bots and Ulator

Running a Decurion at low points is pretty boring for lack of options.

Destroyer Cults are awesome and I never regret using mine. Destroyers are fast enough to respond quickly to new threat/get the F out of dodge if need be, so will really help your board control. Also Voidreaper on your Destroyer Lord is a great choice, I do that all the time.

That being said, a WK will still murderface your Destroyer Lord, but he will still be able to stand up to most Monstrous Creatures.

A decurion is going to get you the best bang for buck so to speak and I'd bulk up with tomb blades.

Agreed its blooming boring though.

I dunno,
I tried theory crafting a quick 1000 list using only Harvest and Cult:

Spoiler:
+ D.C & C.H. (999pts) +

Canoptek Harvest (279pts)
5x Canoptek Scarabs
1x Canoptek Spyder
3x Canoptek Wraiths [Whip Coils]

Destroyer Cult (720pts)
Destroyer Lord [Phase Shifter, The Nightmare Shroud, Warscythe]
2x Destroyers, 1x Heavy Destroyer
2x Destroyers, 1x Heavy Destroyer
3x Destroyers
3x Heavy Destroyers

While it looks decently killy, I'd be concerned with survivability with so few models.
