So ive been wanting to add some LED lights to some of my conversions. I see a lot of different users use them and it looks great. The question I have is, Where would I get such LED that is Battery operated, and how much splicing will be needed?

I highly recommend http://www.modeltrainsoftware.com as I have worked with them before. They take out all the quess work and most everything is pre wired, just pending final assembly. They have a variety of colors, sizes, and even animated effects.

I build my own Arduino controller so I can present game state for my models, controlled by IR remotes or Bluetooth. I use Neopixel LEDs from Adafruit so I can get complex RGB output.
