What the heck kind of school did this kid end up in? Cool ending to the story, though.

Did Fulgrim Just Behead Ferrus?

Saw that article last night. Coincidentally, the article mentions Weird Al, and that's where I was when I saw the article: waiting for Weird Al concert to start.

"Through the darkness of future past, the magician longs to see.
One chants out between two worlds: Fire, walk with me."
- Twin Peaks
"You listen to me. While I will admit to a certain cynicism, the fact is that I am a naysayer and hatchetman in the fight against violence. I pride myself in taking a punch and I'll gladly take another because I choose to live my life in the company of Gandhi and King. My concerns are global. I reject absolutely revenge, aggression, and retaliation. The foundation of such a method... is love. I love you Sheriff Truman." - Twin Peaks

This Is Where the Fish Lives

A couple of things:

For one, this girl is awesome. Not only does she loves Star Wars, but she loves Weird Al. Clearly she has good taste even at such a young age. Second, the 501st is awesome. Seriously, the men and women that troop for them are just great people.

What makes me pissed is that this whole thing got started because of statements like this:
The girls in school were telling her she shouldn't like "Star Wars" because it's for boys.
Stores like Target doing away with gender descriptions and an over-saturation of pink and blue in their toy aisles is a direct response to this attitude. Star Wars isn't for boys, it's for everyone.

They're sending posters that have lots of problems, and they're bringing those problems with us. They're bringing strawmen. They're bringing spam. They're trolls. And some, I assume, are good people."

Why bother typing a response to this article, when I can just say I agree with Scooty about everything? The 501st are amazing, Weird Al is awesome, and anyone who thinks Star Wars should be limited to boys needs an appointment with a Rancor.

See, you're trying to use people logic. DM uses Mandelogic, which we've established has 2+2=quack. - Aerethan
Putin.....would make a Vulcan Intelligence officer cry. - Jihadin
AFAIK, there is only one world, and it is the real world. - Iron_Captain
DakkaRank Comment: I sound like a Power Ranger.
TFOL and proud. Also a Forge World Fan.
I should really paint some of my models instead of browsing forums.

Exactly this. I see stories like this and applaud Target for their move.
