I'm thinking of making an investment after I saw their Warscroll.
The damage they deal looks awesome and I love the model, but with 12 wounds 5+save and bravery 6, they seem brittle.

Has anyone come up against one yet?

Thanks,

Hey Crankpin, just letting you know that if you love the model, just get it! On the rules side, I have not fought the Chimera but have fought other things and I'll add in some input.

For the bravery, its a lone model, so most likely it won't run away from battleshock. But things like a terrorgheist will kill it with its shriek easily.

5+ save is average, and can be buffed by mystic shield, and 12 wounds is avg for most monsters. Its not meant to take out other monsters but against blobs of heavy infantry etc etc. I think it could be pretty decent actually also since you can claim cover with it!

My 2 cents!

I'm looking at em too mate. Cheap price for nice model, good rules on the war scroll. Not a super beast but nice complement for pretty much any Chaos army.

What's left of Cadia

It does decently, with a 5+ save it's somewhat squishy, but it can do a fair amount of damage

TheEyeOfNight- I swear, this thread is 70% smack talk, 20% RP organization, and 10% butt jokes
TheEyeOfNight- "Ordo Xenos reports that the Necrons have attained democracy, kamikaze tendencies, and nuclear fission. It's all tits up, sir."

Sternguard though, those guys are all about kicking ass. They'd chew bubble gum as well, but bubble gum is heretical. Only tau chew gum

Atm, we play according to the azyr composition system.
The Chimera is a bit costly in there, 8 pts.

Do you have a link or details for the azyr composition system? I'm not familiar with it.

I've bought a couple of them, subsequently. Really nice kits!

I haven't had the chance to field them yet. Can't wait to though.
