okay so I'm going to be fighting the local @#%!$%# so I'm taking a decision for my best chances please help with the list because i want to do as good as possible

Reclamation Legion

Nemesor Zandrekh

2x5 immortals with Gauss (backfield objective holders)

2x4 Tomb Blades Shield vanes, Gauss Blasters, Shadowloom(Fast objective Grabbers)

2x10 Necron warriors in Ghost Arks
20 Necron warriors on foot (supported by arks)

Canoptek Harvest

Spyder
6 Wraiths with whip Coils

5 Scarabs

Unbound Allied Detachment
Chaos Knight Errant
Chainsword and Thermal Cannon

so I'm hoping the Knight can pop a few broad sides before it dies and while he shoots at them and the wraiths and possible the warriors the Bikes and Immortals Grab my Maelstrom objectives so I'm hoping to win this on objectives not by tabling him

any advice on tactics or the list is appreciated

Do you have another Spyder? If you split those Wraiths into 2 Harvests then they can ruin Tau's day. They won't kill a lot of models but you won't have to, just win combat and sweep their units.

Your warrior blobs should own the middle of the board and cut down on his mobility.

That knight errant probably won't pop much. If it does then the Tau is just bad. Play it aggressively and get in his face with it to force him to focus it early. That should give your Wraiths time to get into melee and wreck his suits.

You don't really need the Knight for this fight. What other models do you have for Necrons?

This makes your entire army Unbound, meaning you lose the benefits of the Decurion (you still receive Formation benefits however).

I think he just mistyped or doesn't understand what 'unbound' really is. You can still take a single Knight Errant as it's own detachment right?

Broadside spam still looks pretty good against this.

Agreed that you should bring more harvests instead of the chaos knight. Broadside spam could force enough glances to kill the knight although he'll draw all the fire meant for the wraiths. Still think the more threats the better

I don't have any more spiders

So I'm hoping the knight will draw enough fire for me to get in close enough with wraiths scarabs and possibly the knight to multi assault his broadsides and stop them from shooting
