Hello everyone, so my question is in reference to the Dreadknights close combat weapons. When you give the dread knight a nemesis great sword, you are replacing 1 of the 2 power fist.

So does this mean the dread knight with a kit of 4 attacks. Is attacking 8 times, 4 with the sword and 4 with the power fist?

No. Models in melee perform 1 round of attacks with 1 weapon. Extra weapons provide other benefits. Read the entire assault phase in the BRB.

And the 'More Than One Weapon' rules in the Weapons section of the main rulebook.

Why give the dreadknight 2 power fist if he can only use one then?

Because models get a single bonus attack for being equipped with two close combat weapons. Also, having two different combat weapons means you can choose one based on what you're fighting in that particular combat.

Also, the Nemesis DreadKnight use to be armed with two Nemesis Doomfist, which were Dreadnought Close Combat Force Weapon. With their new codec, those Doomfists became generic Powerfists.

Ok. So you choose what profile you use. Now you said a bonus attack, so the dreadknight has 5 attacks then? It's 4 base attacks + 1 for the second combat weapon.

Yep, plus an additional one on the turn it charges, plus another Hammer of Wrath hit. Just check whether both weapons are Specialist or not (I don't have the GK codex, but you don't get the extra attack for two weapons if one is Specialist and the other isn't).

The dreadknight has 3 base attacks, not 4.

Hope is the first step on the road to disappointment.

It is base A3
+1 for two specialist close combat weapons
+1 for charging

Max of 5 with the weapon you choose, plus noe hammer of wrath.

The NDK's Hammer of Wrath is only S6, though, which is kind of a let down with all that S10 goodness.
