So Sega released Megaman 1-6 as a collection on Steam, ported to Steam with full controller support.

Eventually I think I'll grab this, since my NES no longer works. Don't know how much I'll play it but still, it looks rather nice.

Mega Man Legacy Collection is a celebration of the 8-bit history of Capcom’s iconic Blue Bomber. Featuring faithful reproductions of the series’ origins with the original six Mega Man games, the Legacy Collection will remind long-time fans and introduce newcomers to what made Mega Man such a popular and iconic character. Mega Man Legacy Collection will feature all six games and more!

In addition to the six Mega Man games, Mega Man Legacy Collection features new ways to experience the classic games with the Museum Mode and new Challenge Mode. Challenge Mode remixes gameplay segments from all six games, with plenty of scaling difficulty objectives for experienced players to conquer yet serving as a good starting point for new players, too. Museum Mode contains a comprehensive collection of history, high-res art and original concept pieces – a mega treat for any fan of Mega Man and video game history.

Oh man, I must have played through every Megaman game 4 or 5 times by now. I used to play every game in sequence with a buddy during the summer on some old anthology disc. Great way to burn a day. Not sure I could go back to playing them just sitting at a PC. Nice to see they're releasing this now though.

Paying for DLC already on the disc (MvC3 and UMvC3), cancelling 3 Megaman games (Universe, Legends 3, X reboot FPS), extending the Megaman X series by 3 games (X6/7/8), 6 and 7 were crap and 8 was okay, making X a skin for ZERO in UMvC3 (which was an Ultimate kick in the balls for MMX fans), making terrible extensions and new editions of games that don't need it (Street Fighter) and other assorted bullgak.

Then they release a NOT EVEN COMPLETE collection of Classic Megaman games, a complete collection would include 1-10, Rockman and Forte (Not the inferior international GBA release) and possibly the gameboy series (Rockman World in Japan).

There's no Megaman on the horizon so Mighty No.9 fills the gap with a developer who KNOW WHAT THEY'RE DOING.

I could buy the PS2 Anniversary Collection for £2.50 and have HOURS more fun even when it doesn't contain 9, 10 and Bass but WHO CARES?

Ah, that makes sense. It seems the general theme of my day is customers and users having more logic than designers/producers/manufacturers lol.

Also they canceled Megaman Legends 3??? WTF! I didnt even know the game was on the table until just now, but I *LOVED* the first two games.

They blamed the cancellation of Legends 3 because apparently "The People didn't like it" so they canned it.

The real reason is they didn't make it because budget/

I'd love to see Megaman Zero that way, too. Best of the MM series by far, IMO. X was a close second, barring a few bad apples.

It'd be outstanding if they did a HD release of the Megaman Zero collection.
