I remember seeing a thread on here of a guy messing aroung with these bits made for terrain, and sticking them on random objects, and it coming out pretty well. Does anybody remember the company that makes those or can anybody link me to the thread? Thanks.

What scale/genre?
Was it the new Maelstrom's Edge terrain sprue?
I don't think that is available just yet?

Robogear stuff works well as does GWs Manufactorium set.

I know it was 28mm and it worked well with GW. I also know it wasn't out yet and that person just had a... trial?

"trial" might be an unusual word, that would show up with a search. I know what it's like to try and find a blog etc that I'd seen and remember there was something useful in at a later date.

Googling with key words is my usual stratagy... not that it works most of the time. Good luck!

Edit: two people off the top of my head are Camkierhi and Dr.H. Both "mess around" with bits made for terrain using other random objects {both very well too} there is also, Viktor Von Dom, Monkeytroll and everyone else in the League of Extraordinary Riveters, who are all fantastic terrain makers (see LoER banner in my sig.).

Thank you so much! I found a cool cardboard thing from an ikea box and it already looks very imperium esque. Some painting and bitz will definitely help!

Any idea when It'll be available?

The Maelstrom's Edge production page (last updated on the 14th Aug) lists an internal ETA of August and the status of "Full Production Almost Completed / Awaiting Shipping". So it sounds like it will hopefully be along in the not too distant future.
