Guys, I need some clarifications with screamers slashing attack.
I had a situation with my Daemon opponent who tried to slash my Eldar jetbikes with his screamers but ended up with only 3 screamers out of 8 who literally moved over me (finished 24'' turbo boost behind my unit), 1 stopped in front of my bikes and the rest encircled my guys from the right side to keep the coherence.
So was I right to claim that he cannot make any slashing hits against me as "the unit of screamers" (as written in the codex) did not moved over my unit in a full sense. Or it doesn't matter if the whole unit managed to move over or not and we just have to count the actual number of models that moved over?
Thanks

Hmm, I would think you played that wrong. If you look at the shooting sequence on page 30. Everything refers to a unit shooting at another unit if it is line of sight but then specifies later on that you check on a model by model basis. So unit a can shoot at unit b with the models that can see. So screamers can slash at unit b with models that passed over it.

I believe only 1 model has to make it over in order to consider the unit as having made it over. like how only one model has to be within range x in a "Units within x" have *USR" type situation.
RAW, i believe the whole unit can strike.
HIWPI, I've always played that only the models that make it over can strike

Slashing attack is clear that you only attack with the models that made it over the unit anyway

As there's no requirement to turbo boost in a straight line, so long as each model has enough movement to have moved over the unit during their move it should get to strike.
Now you could slow things down to pantomime the models flying over the unit on a 1-by-1 basis, but that's pretty pedantic by that point. Just measure from the screamers to the unit, then leftover distance is what you have to find somewhere to put them down.
