HI guys. I have some pics of completed and wip khorne. I wanted to make a project log. How are your projects going what color schemes are you choosing. Have you tried any weathering, conversions?

Ok I used a different app to upload my pics and now they should be right side up. So frustrating! I have a Samsung note 2 and when I take pics they upload sideways.

The Bloodreavers are cool looking. But I think I still prefer the look of red armour.

The app i used is called pixlr on android. Its simple to use and I used it to convert pics I'd taken, make them a little smaller and then uploaded them from the phone and it worked!

The colors are mephiston red for the blood reaver armor plates, the tabards are painted with a mix of mephiston red, black and white. The steel is VMC dark sea blue, the gold is balor brown, black and white. On the chaos knight the red is VMA scarlet red, the gold is scale 75 nmm gold set and the skin is scale 75 unnatural flesh set.

For the base, maybe add some weathered skulls. T'is Khorne after all.

To make it better... hmmm. Well that's hard! Maybe touching up the contrast between the skin and skulls, as they seem to blend quite a bit.

I know right? I thought I had some secret weapon skulls. I am still looking through my moving boxes and I can't find them. I might buy some.

And this guy is still wip i haven't really painted him yet. I'm just placing him on the base to get an idea of how he will look and where I want him to go. But i'll keep the contrast adjustment in mind.

I'm looking for tips on how to spice up the base.

This is a project I took on after a friend sent these to me for painting. I hope to stretch my scene building muscles a little.

I like you color base and highlights. I am doing a WE khorne army, what red are you using and what are your highlight colors? Cheers.

Did you say you done your Blood Warrior Armor in Mephiston Red? When I started on mine I done it in Khorne Red because I went by Duncan Rhodes' Instruction Video but I done my 40K DV Chosen in Mephiston and now I cant decide if I want my Blood warriors to remain in Khorne Red or repaint them in Mephiston Red. LOL. In the Battle Tome the Blood Warriors appear to have a brighter shade of armor than how Khorne Red would probably look. Also on the Blood Warrior kit box they have some interesting color schemes with one that has a lot of black that looks really good

Blood warrior is done with vallejo model air scarlet sprayed over zenithal primed base of black and white (any bright red would work in that case). the reavers are painted with mephiston red and the purple cloth is mephiston red mixed with black and white.

Another blood reaver and a quick nmm test piece. I am trying to reach the Polish level of nmm. I always have trouble with the pinpoint reflections and weathering the nmm. I've tried to find articles about it but I think I'm getting closer. C&c if you have any thoughts.

Finished this model a friend sent me. I didn't try anything too out of the ordinary with this model but I'm happy with how it turned out comments and critiques are always weclome .
